The other day a saw a short snippet of an interview with the younger Barbara Bush.
I felt sorry for her. She was defending her dad and for a split second I felt sorry for her and also her dad. She says she doesn't listen to the TV because of the criticism leveled at her dad. She claims he is a very smart man.

I have not one ounce of sympathy for her.

There are kids much younger than her in IRaq, dying. Coming home completely deformed.

Fuck her. her father is a murderer. If she feels so bad for him, let her get her ass over to Iraq.

It could be, I doubt it, but I'm sure we can all remember saying dumb things when doing public speaking under pressure.
IMHO Bush never practiced enough and was lazy so it's his own fault, but you never know until you really know the person.

Never practiced enough? He's been president for what, seven years now plus an additional two years campaigning for president with a couple of prior terms as president and you chalk up his idiocy to a lack of practice?

I think the discerning observer can "know enough" after 7 years of this guy to determine that he is not a "very smart person."

Um, yeah. This thread isn't about Gore & Clinton; it's about Bush. Your FIRST response tried to lessen his idiocy w/ bad comparisons to Gore & Clinton.

That's classic apologist stuff. You do it all the time; you can rarely comment on the actual topic when it comes to Bush without some utterance of the word "Clinton" (who, btw, isn't President anymore).
