Bernie at Walmart

Can a "moderate, conservative, democrat please explain to me how this is extreme or even socialism?

"Despite the incredible wealth of its owner, Walmart pays many of its employees starvation wages, wages that are so low that many of these employees are forced to rely on government programs like food stamps, Medicaid and public housing in order to survive," Sanders said. "Further, Walmart should give a voice to its workers by allowing them seats on the board of directors. The concerns of workers, not just stockholders should be a part of board decisions."

it's not socialism.......putting the government on your board of directors is socialism....

I'm not against redistributing wealth,

That is another lame FALSE leftist narrative; it is not the Governments job to redistribute the hard earned wealth of others in order to garner votes and political power.

I believe in universal healthcare, UBI, banning meat and dairy, full LGBT rights, ending gender roles, and taxing religious institutions into oblivion.

Of course you do; all of which have NOTHING to do with making Americans lives better. Ending gender roles; that one's a HOOT. Yeah, we don't have to be the gender we were born with, we can pretend to be whatever gender we want. Just don't look to close okay. :rofl2:

Where is it false, where is it refuted? Many full time employees in this country are forced to depend on multiple forms of government aid.

The claim that people are working for minimum wage at Wallmart because it is their only income is the lie dumbass. The claim that because of Walmart not paying arbitrary Government set "living wages" would make lives better is a lie dumbass.

If you are on Government aid, especially when we were at full employment, it is because you haven't done shit to make your life better. MOST minimum wage jobs are held by students, older retirees and young people just starting out in the workforce. They are not held by people trying to support a family. If they are, then they will be poor the rest of their lives and never see any better.

Turning citizens into dependent wards of the State is not making their lives better; but forcing them into slavery and urban poverty.

Prove it

Right after you prove your bullshit asswhipe.

Nothing says stupid better than a low IQ leftist liar who bloviates pure bullshit demanding others prove it isn't.

As usual, you can't prove shit about anything. Just a big fucking mouth blowing tons of bull shit and hot air.

Well the intent certainly isn't, nor the goal, and the demand that the "concerns" should be part of the company's interest isn't either, but, some will read it as if Bernie is demanding the workers be given more power, that the Gov't should entangle itself into the operations of a private company

and of course they should. a rising tide was forced to raise all ships, by labor movements, although neocons and neolibs like to pretend otherwise.

Universal healthcare run by faceless bureaucrats is even more moronic than arbitrary minimum wage laws. Universal healthcare run by faceless bureaucrats does not reduce inequality. It increases by forcing those who cannot afford to opt out of their shitty plans while the wealthy can.

I wish you were educated; really I do. ;)

Which is why we spend the most in the World & live less time than just about every other 1st World country with universal healthcare?

There you go with that lame dumb meaningless talking point; "living wage." So what is preventing Wallmart workers from learning a skilled trade or getting a college degree so they can make more?

Who is forcing anyone in this country to work for less than they think their skills are worth?

They are right.
Wal-Mart does pay people scab wages & then foots on the tab to the tax payer.

Same thing Capitalists do with Illegals, as the illegals overload our schools, but undermine wages, and pay less taxes.
The tab gets footed onto you.

But, of course narrow minded, simple Republicans.

Would rather blame the poor for being poor, and the illegal for crossing the border.

Capitalism is flawless, to you morons.

Stocking shelves is not the job deserving a living wage for a family. It's an entry-level job for people without children, or as a second income for a family with children (i.e. a married couple).

If Walmart give all their employs a quote "living wage", Walmart would be headed out of business and those people getting a living wage would be out of a job with no wage.

So, Waltons who founded Wal-Mart, need more money?

Is that why they're among the richest families in the World?

How is Wal-Mart any different than Target, McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Macys, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Amazon, Kroger, Costco, Home Depot, CVS, Lowes, Dollar Stores, Dollar General, Verizon, Starbucks, Kohls, Ace, Gap, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Wendy's, Sherwin-Williams, Penneys, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, GameStop, Big Lots....................

They all basically cut corners, pay scab wages, and sometimes hire illegals.

But, Wal-Mart was the first major store to buy & sell Chinese products.

Most of the Walton's money is in stock, not in fancy cars and gold teeth. Sam Walton himself was famous for his humble lifestyle. He kept is money in the company where it gives many people jobs.

If you took all the money the Waltons spend on themselves and gave it to the employees, after being spreading out, it would hardly be noticeable by the employees.

I'm no apologist for the rich. They should be taxed more and given fewer government handouts. But, Walmart would be on its way out of business if it tried to pay employees noticeably more.

sam walton was a spook, working for the company to destroy organic real businesses in america, by first capturing huge market share, and then destroying American manufacturing by giving all the business to china.
