Crap, you can't mention the 70s, without mentioning Van Halen's groundbreaking debut album.

X the AC/DC and Linda Ronstadt, and we are in complete agreement.

Hmm...Marijuana, headphones, and "The Wall"...Teenage Intellectual Ecstasy
I actually hunted out an eight-track player, put it on an eight-track tape so that I could listen to it while sleeping... It led to some interesting dreams. I think that of all my albums, "The Wall" is likely the most listened to, with "The Final Cut" being second.

I have quite a collection of Pink Floyd including many bootlegs. I bought everything they legitimately put out as well as those bootlegs...

Led Zeppelin too.

"The Wall" was the best to listen to while high, until after I got out of the military, and listened to "Under the Table and Dreaming".

I could say which is better, as i never compared them while in such a state...and I stopped smoking many years ago.

I should start a new thread...

"Best song to listen to while high"

I nominate "Welcome To the Machine", by Pink Floyd
I nominate "Tusk" by Fleetwood Mack. Use headphones. You will find that the drum sounds like it is circling you...

None of those wimpy on the ear headphones either. Proper around the ear headphones are necessary for the full impact.

It seems to me, that the tragedy of growing old, as far as music is concerned, is that you have learned to accept music for what it is, but you fail to be able to connect with songs that have been written since you came to said epiphany.
