The prospect of the Democrats winning a Hat Trick in this election (now a long shot in Georgia) scares the crap out of me, but I'm not going to start threatening Liberals with murder.

Liberals will be liberals. There's no changing that. What can change is the Republican party and what it stands for. IMO, the Republicans have been fucking up for over two decades. The election of Trump was a low spot and his defeat in 2020 is the opportunity for the Republican party to unfuck itself. Let's both hope they do or the Liberals will most certainly win again and keep on winning.

I was a Captain, CH-46 pilot. Officers feel different about the situation as repeatedly shown in Military Times polls.

it's not a big deal threatening liberals because they won't step in to the fray anyway....they certainly like threatening me enough......and i've given up on both major parties.....neither one of them has the american peoples interest at heart....i fully expect major civil unrest over the next 2 to 8 years...........but they do need to know exactly what it is they are courting.......

You're forgetting that all the villagers are watching you act like a tough guy and threatening Americans. Sure they threaten but you just posted they're pussies, so why are you sweating it?

I'm with you on giving up on both parties which is why, after 38 years in 2012, I stopped being a Republican and started being an Independent. I agree with most of the Libertarian platform except on National Security issues which includes economic and military alliances.

You expect civil unrest? You're young so you don't remember the Sixties. What we saw during the Iraq War was a church social in comparison. The BLM and Antifa protests are a little more serious but 1) it's a city problem and 2) won't go further than their own neighborhoods. If it does go further then they will certainly have a problem since it will be them pissing off the villagers.

I'm not worried about the Doom and Gloom bullshit since that crap has been around for as long as I've been alive. In fact, my generation faced nuclear annihilation with Duck'n'Cover drills under our school desks. Lefties bitching in city streets is nothing but a pain in the ass for those trying to get to work. I'm not sweating it because the United States of America is a lot bigger than all of them.

Cool. Good job. I was at MCAS Tustin until late '85; El Toro, Pendleton, Yuma, 29 Palms stateside then MCAS Futenma in Okinawa. When 400 pilots got RIF'd in the mid-80s, about 300 of us went Navy. I had a choice of North Island or Jacksonville. I needed to get my ass out of California so chose Florida.

I was at Tustin feb thru apr 85, but hadn't completed AC school yet. then NKT til late 89 and new river til I got out. now i'm in TX. had to get out of illinois

We were there at the same time. I was at HMT-301 until Nov 85. The only time I was at Cherry Point was to pick up a bird. The only time I was at New River was for SERE school. For some reason only the HQMC gods know, every time I went to a school involving open water it was ice cold. The good news was no bugs and slow snakes. The bad news was I froze my nuts off for a few days straight.

I wish I know what you two are talking about.

There was a ROTC graduate who was deaf. He has been trying to join the military for a while to no avail. While I understand the reasoning, they should have let him in but not let him in combats. Maybe intelligence or something.

STY did his duty at a Marine Corps Air Station in North Carolina, I was in California and Okinawa (twice).

Not the military, but there are a lot of jobs serving our nation in the Alphabets such as CIA, DHS, FBI, FAA. Not all jobs require hearing but the military is so small these days all members need to able to serve in combat.

Yes they did. Being in combat doesn't necessarily involve killing but, as Doss proved, soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines need to be fit to serve.

Due to the downsizing of the military, a lot of support jobs have been contracted out.
