You are the personification of TDS...
Putting the actually important stuff aside--policy positions and ideology--
I have one question to ask of the non-Trump loathers.
Does his vulgarian demeanor and total lack of class offend you in any way at all?
Do you not feel that dignity is a very important quality for the global face of America?
Don't you ever look at him and say,
No. This man is simply not good enough.
I am totally embarrassed to be represented on the world stage by this man.
I find it a shameful humiliation.
As a human being, he simply lacks sufficient quality to occupy a meaningful national or global role.
Don't you ever think that?
I say that because if Trump were a prominent political figure in the early 1980s
my own children, as toddlers and elementary school kids,
would look at him exactly that way.
They didn't see that buffoonery in the dignified Reagan, whom I also disliked
but only for important political reasons, not his gentlemanly demeanor.
Is there that HUGE a difference in the way we were all brought up
and the values we were all taught?
There obviously has to be.
Trump is the kind of person that makes finished, polished people feel literally crawly.
They scratch themselves in his presence. Watch them.
And people not made to feel that way by him--
what if anything offends them in terms of personal demeanor?
Would a person have to LITERALLY start flinging his/her own feces like a gorilla in a zoo?
I am being absolutely sincere when I admit to saying,
I just don't understand it.
When I was a little boy,
I had an uncle who used to tell me at the many family dinners we shared,
"Be careful, Nifty.
Do you think Frank Sinatra spills sauce on his white shirt?"
The little things mattered if you wanted to consider yourself worthy of respect.
Obviously not to everybody, I guess.
