I haven't been registered with this website for a long time and I haven't used it a lot in the meantime, but this is very easily among the best posts I have read on it.

I am liberal. I do believe that most people are and want to be good. I believe that behavior can be bad but that people are not.

It's a huge handicap. I agree with every word you wrote. I did thankfully decide during the Trump presidency that I will not forgive his supporters. I forgave their vote in 2016 (it was a hard election for many of us), but I have no additional tolerance for their continued support of a living, breathing monster. Liberals only won the most recent election because Trump is so awful and evil, not because they deserved it. I don't know when or if they will ever learn their lesson.

When did I talk about subjugating anyone? My main point is that some people have more representation than others. Ensuring everyone has equal representation isn't subjugation, unless you feel that you're entitled to a status. Do you feel entitled to a status?

You asking me? I own at least twenty guns and spent thousands of dollars on ammunition before the election. My dad, who was deployed in American wars six times, taught me how to shoot a gun when I was nine years old. He taught me how to operate a manual transmission when I was eight. Yeah, if there was any doubt that Conservatism doesn't operate in good faith, the 2010's should put those doubts to rest.

Conservatism is a broken ideology that can't win elections based on the merits of its policies, beliefs, or advocates. So they have become anti-democratic.

Liberals would and should be wise to this by now, if the disingenuousness of the teabags were any indication.

If we rid ourselves of the Electoral College and admit DC and PR as states, Conservatism will never hold any office of import in this nation ever again. And we'll be better off for it as a country.

Unlike you, I never forgave anyone for their 2016 vote, whether it was for Trump, a 3P candidate, or no vote at all. I just don't have time for any of those people anymore, and have cut them out of my life because they weren't adding anything to it. Agreed 100%.

My parents voted for Trump in 2016, at which time I fought with them but somehow kept up contact.

When I learned they were going to do the same in 2020, I cut them out of my life for good. And I'm happier for it. Fewer xmas and thanksgiving trips anyway.

I think you also make a point that some coroner offices are going to try and hide the real cause of death, and others that will highlight the complication that caused the death came as a direct result of the virus- and that it depends on the coroner's politics.

For instance, if it is a rural Republican community, the coroner is more-than-likely some Trump loving asshole, and may not mention the virus at all, and if it is a large urban metroplex- THEY WILL BE SURE TO HIGHLIGHT THE VIRUS AS THE CAUSE- as they should.
