Biden has got to go.

April had a huge budget surplus- sorry

yes, you are.....there was no budget surplus.....

Are you telling us that Biden isn't bring back the jobs trump lost, fast enough to satisfy you?

no jobs were lost, the government just wouldn't let people go to them....some businesses folded, like restaurants and gyms and movie theaters and bars because they were ordered to shut down......you know that.....everyone knows that.......

this isn't rocket science.......if the accumulated national debt when he took office was around $10T (the accumulation of all previous presidencies) and the accumulated national debt when he left office was around $20T, then he doubled it......

Translation: Fuck you, Dutch. I’m not going to post something that proves me a liar.

LOL. Of course not, PmP. That’d require you possessing Christian values. :)

To be fair; while Presidents ask for budgets and sign/veto budgets, it’s Congress that actually writes them.

TOW has already posted one link proving you wrong. Here’s another: https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikepa...-what-it-means-for-americans/?sh=575399ed5ddf

More than double from the start of Obama’s first term to the end of his last term

I've been happy with him, so far. He inherited a country that was a basket case. Even the job creation that showed up after the COVID lockdowns ended had petered out, and we'd lost jobs in December 2020. Then Biden took the helm and we've had strong job creation every month since then. And in 2021 we had the best year for GDP growth in almost four decades, even after discounting for the fairly high inflation rate. And, amazingly, that happened even as we were bringing deficits down, after the orgy of deficit spending in Trump's last year. We also got out of Afghanistan, at long last, and Biden pushed through a big infrastructure bill after decades of presidents promising to do that and failing to deliver. Yes, as with most advanced countries, we're struggling with high inflation right now, as a result of pandemic supply chain disruptions, Russia-related oil shocks, and a few years of central banks flooding the markets with money. But no economic period is perfect. This one looks better than I was expecting, and certainly much better than what we were suffering before Biden took office.

Well Mina I hate to rain on your parade but after Trump, Bozo the clown would look good.

Agreed. At least Bozo has integrity.

Unfortunately, Bozo would have more integrity than the “modern” Republican Party leadership itself.

Agreed. The Great Recession began under GW and ended under Obama. Now compare the national debt to Trump’s term:

This has absolutely nothing to do with todays oil prices, or current oil supplies.

"the government just wouldn't let people go to them"

Thats about the dumbest comment I have heard in a very long time. Do you think that if DJT had been honest with the American people from day one, instead of constantly lying to them, and pretending that Covid was no big deal, that we would have been in the disaster that he created?

Well Mina I hate to rain on your parade but after Trump, Bozo the clown would look good.

True. And if Biden had turned out to be, say, another GW Bush, that would have looked like an improvement but still a disappointing one. But he's surprised me how good he's been.

Take Afghanistan as an example. Sure, the corporate press was determined to present the withdrawal as a disaster, because they were very angry Biden was taking their forever war from them. But for me, it was a hugely positive surprise. I thought for sure Biden would do what Trump did -- constantly suggesting a withdrawal was coming shortly, to quiet those insisting on it, while never actually withdrawing.

That would have been the worst of both worlds, in that it would continue the hundred-billion-dollar-per-year bleed rate, while also assuring our enemies kept counting on us getting out eventually, so that their morale would never break and our side could never win.

Instead, Biden succeeded in getting us out of Afghanistan within his first few months as president. And though any retreat is going to be chaotic and leave some tragedies in its wake, the fact is he got us out with an US KIA toll of barely over a dozen soldiers.... which is more like what you'd expect from a bus crash than a major battle.

The Afghanistan withdrawal was a big positive surprise for me. I was also surprised he managed to jam through that infrastructure bill, which I expected to get held up by crypto-Republicans like Manchin and Sinema. And I was surprised that 2021 looks like the best year for economic improvement in almost forty years, and that deficits have already started to come down. I'd anticipated worse.

So, rather than ret-conning my expectations in order to maintain a sense of cynicism, I'm being honest about the fact he has overachieved relative to what I thought would happen.

“But he's surprised me how good he's been.”

Um...this is a sign of degenerative insanity.

More insanity:

“The Afghanistan withdrawal was a big positive surprise for me.”

Aug 26, 2021 — The Pentagon confirmed that 13 U.S. service members have been killed in an attack near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.

American civilians trapped in Afghanistan, left behind.

Billions in weapons left to the Taliban.

Yes, my dear, President Biden has been a breath of fresh air, after living through the most corrupt administration possibly in our history. And as of now we still dont know the whole story of Trump corruption.

He has certainly managed to bring more harm upon the world than previous democrats.

I think that instead of merely "going" he needs to pay for his myriad crimes.

He was supposed to just sit quietly until the Dems sorted out a charismatic leader. Instead, there are thousands of Afghan babies dead due to his theft of their assets and we've got a proxy war with Russia.
The real problem is............................he ain't finished yet.
