President Biden will travel to Michigan on Tuesday to join a group of striking autoworkers on the picket line, an extraordinary gesture of support to a labor union by a sitting American president.

On Tuesday, Mr. Biden is expected to appear alongside Shawn Fain, the president of the United Auto Workers union, who extended the invitation to the president last week.

Are those the same autoworkers he wants to put out of business by forcing automakers into EV's?

Good move, Joey.

Thanks for doing something to make me proud of you,

especially since I'm probably going to have to vote for you again.

I don't understand you, Joey.
I was over the moon to retire at fifty-five.

I was shooting for thirty-five but couldn't pull it off.

Biden will join the UAW strike picket line. Experts can’t recall the last time a pres

Experts in presidential and U.S. labor history say they cannot recall an instance when a sitting president has joined an ongoing strike, even during the tenures of the more ardent pro-union presidents such as Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry Truman. Theodore Roosevelt invited labor leaders alongside mine operators to the White House amid a historic coal strike in 1902, a decision that was seen at the time as a rare embrace of unions as Roosevelt tried to resolve the dispute.

Biden is pushing for EVs. EVs require 30-40% less union labor to build. Biden wants to put 30-40% of Union workers out of a job.

More likely, he wants them to build 30 or 40 percent more cars.
Actually more.

Everybody should have an electric SUV,
an electric soccer mom van [also useful for moving kids into college],
an electric formal sedan for nights on the town,
an electric touring sedan for traveling,
a little little electric runabout car just for errands around town,
and, of course, an electric cabriolet or roadster just for sunny weather fun.

Also, if you have some traces of cracker blood,
perhaps an electric pickup as well.

Biden knows that it's time to stop living like savages
and all have an appropriate vehicle for every practical purpose.

I agree, but I also think we should use public transportation when and where appropriate
and thus need to vastly improve that as well.

Where do I get one of these Electric dog rescue vans?

Where do I get one of these Electric dog rescue vans?

In this day and age?
Probably on line where we have to get everything else.

People destined to live as long as I have
needed to be born with better attributes
for adapting.

"Being cool" genes are not of sufficient value
when their expiration dates are for so much sooner
than THE expiration date.
