The 11-page log of emails sent and received by Joe Biden between 2010 and 2019 was obtained by the House Ways and Means Committee through metadata provided by IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler.

During that nine-year-period, Joe Biden used pseudonyms, such as “robinware456,” “JRBware” and “RobertLPeters,” to correspond with his son, other family members, White House officials and Hunter’s former business partner Eric Schwerin, according to the committee.

In total, Joe Biden fired off or was privy to 327 emails with Schwerin, the founding partner and managing director of Hunter’s defunct Rosemont Seneca Partners firm.

54 were exclusively between Joe Biden and Schwerin, who the committee charges was the architect of the Biden family’s “various shell companies that launder money around the world.”

Biden treated Air Force 2 like a corporate jet, traveling to Ukraine and Mexico, to advance Hunter Biden’s business interests,” Smith said in a statement. “Evidence from today’s documents show right around the time of international trips like those to Ukraine, Joe Biden was emailing his son and his son’s business partner from private email accounts using aliases while Vice President.”

Before a June 2014 visit to Ukraine, Joe Biden and Schwerin had only exchanged five emails, the committee found, but after the trip, Joe Biden and Schwerin emailed 27 times.

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) Wednesday released a third bank records memorandum detailing new information obtained in the Committee’s investigation into the Biden family’s influence-peddling schemes.

The memorandum outlines how the Bidens and their business associates received millions from oligarchs in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine during Joe Biden’s vice presidency.


After Hunter Biden received millions of dollars in payments, then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with his son’s foreign associates in Washington, D.C. Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, recently testified that then-Vice President Joe Biden was “the brand” sold to enrich the Biden family and was used to send “signals” of access, power, and influence.

“During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as ‘the brand’ to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. It appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And Hunter Biden seems to have delivered. This is made clear by meals at Café Milano where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs from around the world who had sent money to his son,” said Chairman Comer.

According to the release Wednesday, the Committee has now identified over $20 million in payments from foreign sources to the Biden family and their business associates.

Are VPs allowed to use private emails?

Presidential Records Act required Joe to make sure that any of his gmail account emails, including these emails to Hunter were forwarded to a government account so they could properly be handled by the National Archives

No they can't use private emails everything they do is supposed to be part of the National Archives.
 
The Presidential Records Act

The Presidential Records Act (PRA) requires that almost all communications with White House staff on official matters be preserved. The Act, 42 U.S.C. Chapter 22, requires that records demonstrating the “activities, deliberations, decisions, and policies that reflect the Performance of the President’s constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties…are preserved and maintained.” Section 2209 (added in 2014) indicates White House staff such as Kushner “may not create or send a Presidential or Vice-Presidential record using a non-official electronic message account”
