Biden is once again playing politics trying top hurt DeSantis. DeSantis is far above the hate of Biden and will find a way to help the poor people hurt by the hurricanes this year. As always Biden puts ther party above the needs of the people. Florida will remember this

Following FEMA's denial of Florida's request for emergency funds to help rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricane Ian, Ron DeSantis announced that the state will provide up to $25 million for emergency relief, according to Florida's Voice.

"Unfortunately, we got word last week that FEMA had denied our request for funding our state-led housing initiatives, citing their quote 'limited authority,'" DeSantis said during an announcement in Southwest Florida, the region where Hurricane Ian made landfall.
"We're not just gonna sit there and take no for an answer," he said, "we're gonna figure out what we can do."

"We wanna cut through bureaucracy," he continued, "we wanna bring relief to impacted Floridians, regardless of whether FEMA wants to be a part of that."
FEMA responded to DeSantis' request in a December 2 letter, saying "Due to the limited authorities FEMA has to approve and pay for this type of work, as well as our inability to confirm that authorizing this policy expansion would achieve the intended outcomes for disaster survivors, your request is denied."
DeSantis said that $25 million provided through state funds would be used to purchase building materials, which would then be provided to "verified nonprofit organizations to restore damaged homes to livable conditions."

There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that the Revolution will not do to grab and keep power.

Obey Or Else!

But they will forget that DeSantis opposed help for New Jersey and New York during Hurricane Sandy. You are a typical right wing hypocrite. FEMA said they have limited authority to approve funds for a state run program. Which makes perfect sense to me.

Stop whining. Florida received 3 BILLION dollars in relief for Hurricane Ian, including well over a billion dollars from FEMA. You are nothing but a right wing partisan hack.

FEMA refuses to fund a political slush fund that DeSantis was going to use to line the pockets of his cronies. Whining by RWers after the news at 11.

Since Hurricane Ian made landfall, Edwards said FEMA has provided nearly $400 million directly to the state and has put over $792 million "into the hands of survivors to help them with things like permanent home repairs."

As of last week, FEMA has provided more than $2.97 billion in federal grants, disaster loans and flood insurance payments to Florida for Hurricane Ian recovery. The federal agency has also extended the period of applications for survivors through to the new year.

According to a November 28 FEMA press release, there are 33 Disaster Recovery Centers open across the state and Transitional Sheltering Assistance is being provided to survivors in 26 counties, with the latter providing housing for 1,807 households with 4, 430 members.

Additionally, President Biden's Small Business Administration has provided $1 billion in disaster loans and the National Flood Insurance Program has paid $793 million in claims.

But yeah lick DeSantis' boots.

No. So what? If you ask them for money, they will tell YOU to go fuck yourself. FEMA gave Florida over a billion dollars. Stop whining, little snowflake,

Are you really this stupid, or are you just pretending. FEMA gives money DIRECTLY to the counties of Florida. Once again, less whining, little snowflake.
