Why do Republi'cans' fight to preserve this big Pharma Oligopoly and Corporatocracy abuse, ...


Cliffs :

- video explains how pharmacist can sell certain medications to person at $X price but how, as soon as they mention they have Insurance, he is required to both swipe the card, and NOT tell the person they would actually pay less out of pocket, if they did not use their Insurance.

- His Cost : $2
- He would sell for $4
- she says she has Insurance. His gag clause kicks in.
- Swipes card and Insurance 'co pay' says the price is $10
- she now pays $10
- $7 goes to Big Pharma
- he makes $3

He could lose his pharma license if he told her his cash pay price which would save her money.

Any reform of this system is instantly blocked by Republi'cans'.

QPeeee, screw you. The dems had their chance and they did nothing so are just as guilty as republicans. The possible solution? Go GoodRx and pay out of pocket. Another option is Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company.

But this thread is NOT about just gag orders that prevent that type of disclosure that would save individuals money, while they pad the profits of big pharma.

This thread IS ABOUT all the various ways Republi'cans' fight to be the voice of Big Pharma and maximizing their profits at the expense of citizens,, such as fighting any attempt to lower costs via allowing bulk purchasing.

each and every time the republi'cans' are given a chance to help citizens get out from under this predatory Oligopoly, they vote to defend it, while screwing the citizens. Why?

and codified out of the private sector permanently.

The private sector is for restaurants and couture and automobiles and entertainment.

It's not for any part of the health care industry,
insurance,
public transportation,
or public utilities.

and have never ever belonged to the Communist Party,

how can being a Communist be nearly as bad as being a Republican?

First, there's little in life more important that a good toilet seat.

Second, stop electing the reps who are in the pockets of the nut and bolt manufacturers.
That's the electorate's fault.

100% of tax dollars are supposed to go to goods and services.

If the government is getting bilked by vendors,
it should in that circumstance manufacture the stuff that it needs itself,
putting the private vendors out of business.



Half of discretionary spending, on the other hand, goes to profits to the private enterprises.

There's less bang for the buck on the money that you keep and spend yourself
than on the money you were taxed and was spent on your behalf.

I'm all for capitalism, but this should be illegal. And why would insurers fall for it?

In other pharma news, we got a call today from the carrier of our Medicare Part D telling us that there will be no monthly premium payments for our coverage next year. Thanks, Pres. Biden!

Bet none of us would be surprised to find out 1) how much in donations they get from the pharmaceutical racket, and 2) how much stock in those companies they own.
