Bill to Put ‘In God We Trust’ Sign in Every Public School in Pennsylvania

This is total bullshit since it's not just 'dealing with living in a nation that has Freedom of Religion'....there is no way in Hell (pun intended) that non-believer taxpayers should have to pay for it. OR Christians like myself who ALSO do not believe that this belongs in public schools or that my tax $$ should go towards it.

Lots of schools have prayers for football games and graduation...but those dont COST the taxpayers $$$.

what if it didn't cost anything?....
With this rich history in mind, my legislation will require every school district to display the motto in each school building. The display of our nation’s motto may take the form of mounted plaques or artwork from a student contest that will be prominently displayed in each school building.

Freedom of religion necessarily includes freedom to hold no religious views. That might offend you but you are going to have to learn to deal with living in a secular nation.

True...but try to get elected in Tennessee making public that you're a gay athiest ... or either one separately. It ain't happening everywhere yet ... but your side is winning. But there are still gonna be people who unnecessarily try to do what the goober legislator is trying to do. No doubt it makes his constituents happy or he'd not be a legislator for long.

No. RE: the student art, it's not 'prominently disiplayed all over the school,' but in one place and it is obviously an expression of that student or students personal views.

Kids are allowed to pray in school and have religious clubs.

Signs put up by the school implies that this is what the school believes and wants you to believe.
