Totally agree. One of my favorite online personalities was a devout Christian who believed in inclusiveness and Jesus was simply eternal love that never dies.
He was as hard on the fundies as anyone. Smart for days, funny and not at all Republican. Guyb could translate Aramiac. It was amusing to watch him defenestrate
the online religious right using a deeper exegesis than they could ever muster. Wish he was around. Maybe he is.

Do you mean do I believe in a Heaven? I do. I wasn't aware of the invisible antenae theory of yours. I imagine everyone does carry on some kin of internal monologue....the vast majority understand that it's best not to share when and if the voices get out of control...
Have you met ewince? I'd think it fascinating if I wasn't so concerned for her health and safety (and perhaps the safety of others-those are some red flag voices...)

A religious leader would have given it to the poor. He just took money from them. My grandmother, who was very old and poor gave money to him. One of my favorite Billy Graham stories involved the great Louis Zamperini who was having horrible nightmares involving choking out his captures and drove him to drink heavily. Louis' wife convinced him to see Graham when he came to LA. After the visit Louis gave his life back to Christ, forgave his captures and his nightmares went away. Amazing story

I can't claim to know all that much about him but just reading up on him where are you getting that he started his career in the '50's? And I'm not reading anything about him and the KKK. It says he was a close confident to MLK. Why would MLK hang with a klan guy?
