I don't know who he is. I saw this posted on the USC board. That's why I asked if it is legit or not. I'm not, and didn't, try to pass it off as a factual thing. There are smart people who post here and I figured one of them could tell me whether this is legit or if it scare mongering by the author.

Well, if it does function like the airplane box, there must be some way to trick into thinking you just crashed so that it sends out a distress signal. That would be hilarious! :cof1:

Apologies first...I can see where the potential for abuse lies if those boxes start getting installed in cars...

I have said for a long time I won't buy a car with OnStar...if they can unlock your doors by remote with a push of a button, then they can also probably shut down your car by remote. I know that some rental cars already carry a box that tells the rental company if you drove faster than the speed limit at anytime during your trip, so these boxes sound like an extension of that.

It's just that Alex Jones is about as far out to the Right as one can get, and I tend to just ignore his rantings.

No worries, I'm not sure why I haven't heard of this guy before. Glad I know it now. Have you ever seen that show Bait Vehicle or something close to that? I've watched it a couple of times and they leave a car out for potential thieves to take and then when the thief gets in the car and drives away they shut off the engine. I usually don't let my mind wander into conspiracy type stuff but they have cameras on stop lights that can send you a ticket could one day this box send you a ticket if you are speeding on the highway for instance?

For instance:
the FED is not a government agency nor is the IRS
The bankers are imploding the economy to bring a world currency and a world government
