Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Requests Meeting With Biden, Harris: 'We Want Something

BLM hurt Biden and the Dems. Politically, he owes them nothing. Someone thought defunding the police was a positive mantra. It was not. It scared white people away.

Hurt him? They got him elected. And you might want to educate yourself on who is most against defunding police. That would be minority urban areas. Feel free to look it up.

Which should not be a political issue anyway. That being said, what did Trump do to change Roe/Wade?

Agreed. Nothing. As usual, Trump just talked a lot and did little.

Donald Trump has said that "some form of punishment" should be in place for women who have abortions, if the practice was banned.

After strong criticism, he released a statement that only the doctor or practitioner should be punished, not the woman.

It's not the first time he has changed his view on abortion, going from pro-choice in 1999 to pro-life with exceptions today.

President Donald Trump doesn’t want to talk about abortion.

After years of saying he would appoint “pro-life” judges and bragging that the landmark Roe v. Wade decision would be overturned “automatically” if he won, Trump is now tiptoeing around the issue as he tries to get another justice confirmed to the Supreme Court before the Nov. 3 election.

“You don’t know what’s on the ballot,” Trump interjected during this week’s first presidential debate when Democrat Joe Biden said the ruling giving women the right to an abortion was at stake.

“Why is it on the ballot? Why is it on the ballot?” Trump demanded. “It’s not on the ballot. ... There’s nothing happening there.”

She added: "Up until this point, the United States has refused to directly reckon with the way that it devalues Black people and devastates our lives. This cannot continue.

"Black people can neither afford to live through the vitriol of a Trump-like Presidency, nor through the indifference of a Democrat-controlled government that refuses to wrestle with its most egregious and damnable shame." [from OP link]

What kind of policy can Biden and the Democrats wring out of that?

The premise is that this country ‘devalues and devastates’ black lives. So what’s the policy remedy?

Maybe one of the board Biden supporters can help us. Or not.

Also, Biden has been in government for 47 years and never did anything significant for blacks—why do they expect him to change now?

Hope springs eternal. But Joe's civil rights record is shaky at best: https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ting-recollection-his-civil-right-activities/

But here's what he went on record with thus far: https://www.ontheissues.org/2020/Joe_Biden_Civil_Rights.htm
