by sheer numbers, an innocent civilian is 8x more likely to be killed by a cop than a terrorist.

Terrorists are far less numerous in the USA than cops.
But, cops risked their lives on 9/ 11 due to terrorism.

Context is everything.
We are not talking about police maintaining the oppressive British, the Soviet NKVD, or Trump's Homeland Security Federal police.
We're talking about local police which attempt to keep law &; order.
