And to state, I don't doubt that the event happened but rawstory is not a reliable site. So I prefer to read the story from somewhere more credible.

A series of videos posted on Facebook this week shows that employees at an LA Fitness gym in Secaucus, New Jersey called the cops on a black member because they assumed he didn’t pay to get in — and refused to back down even after learning he was a member.
The videos were posted by a New Jersey man named Tshyrad Oates but were originally filmed by Oates’ friend, who is a member of the gym.
The first video shows Oates’ friend fuming as he walks from the main gym area toward the lobby after he’s been asked to leave the gym because he didn’t pay an entrance fee — despite the fact that he’s a paid member.
He approaches the woman at the front desk and asks her to scan his membership tag, which she does. After the scan shows that he is a member of the gym, the woman simply stands up and doesn’t say anything as she walks away.
The second video shows him being confronted by the gym’s manager, who tells him that he can’t shoot video in the gym. When he refuses to stop, the manager tries to implore police officers in the lobby to make him stop, but they tell him they can’t legally do that.
“I understand, you don’t like cell phones,” one officer says to him. “But it’s not criminal activity.”

Something smells fishy about this. The lefty media machine should be blowing up right now about this story, but there is limited coverage at this point. There is probably a reason why thousands of journalists who rely on stories like this are not all over this.

Don't really care what anyone wants to imagine themselves as.
One of the reasons why I win in my threads here, is because I do a little research first. I research from the side of my political opponents so that I know if I'm right or not before starting the thread. Your topic may become something big, but it is best to do a little homework first.
Actually Raw Story is quite reliable... I have checked them a dozen times in the past and they coincide with other far more established news outlets.
Go to google news, "black man New Jersey Gym" and take your pick.. There's nothing "lefty" about it.
I did. Try it again, and then look at the sources. Next, search the same way for "Black men starbucks" Have a look at those sources. Notice something different about the sources?
Are you confusing the two incidents?
The Black man at the gym is covered by a dozen or more news reports with video.

There are people who find Breibart, WND and InfoWars reliable as well so to each his own I guess.
You can't compare Raw story with any of those.
WND sold phony stock in the world's largest oil find in Israel from 1998 thru 2005.. ripped off a lot of old ladies and never sank a single bore hole... Infowars is an insane conspiracy site and Brietbart is also political and conspiracies.

Raw Story isn't political? It labels itself a progressive website. It is an extremely biased often flat out wrong/lying website. I understand as a progressive it's probably harder to see (or want to see). But it is just like Breibart and other sites, it appeals to those on the fringe.
