BLACK MSNBC anchor forced to admit she got into Harvard by affirmative action

The same way John Kerry did and the same way Al Gore got into Harvard...
Gore flunked science in College. What a dumbass

Gore arrived at Harvard with an impressive 1355 SAT score, 625 verbal and 730 math, compared with Bush's 1206 total from 566 verbal and 640 math. In his sophomore year at Harvard, Gore's grades were lower than any semester recorded on Bush's transcript from Yale. That was the year Gore's classmates remember him spending a notable amount of time in the Dunster House basement lounge shooting pool, watching television, eating hamburgers and occasionally smoking marijuana. His grades temporarily reflected his mildly experimental mood, and alarmed his parents. He received one D, one C-minus, two C's, two C-pluses and one B-minus, an effort that placed him in the lower fifth of the class for the second year in a row.

For all of Gore's later fascination with science and technology, he often struggled academically in those subjects. The political champion of the natural world received that sophomore D in Natural Sciences 6 (Man's Place in Nature) and then got a C-plus in Natural Sciences 118 his senior year.

Yes- Before I have my morning coffee!

Right wingers on this forum never went to college.
It is amusing reading them whine about admissions since they know nothing about college admission standards.

Zat rite?

LOL

I am demonstrably the most educated person on this site.

Do you claim to have attended the University of Beijing? I know that admission standards in your country include being a party member. democrats would like to establish the same standard here in America, that only Communist Party (democrat) members are admitted to institutions of higher learning.

Clarence Thomas.
Amy Coney Barrett.
Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Were all explicitly pushed up to the SC due to Affirmative action, used appropriately.

Derps do not understand that affirmative action DOES NOT mean people who do not meet the bar of being qualified, get in. What it does mean, that amongst the pool of 'qualified' the one hiring can utilize a goal of diversity as one of many considerations in their choice.

This is a positive and good thing as we were are learning in real time with the example of the Abortion and contraception debate limitations going on in many Red States. Overwhelming it is groups of old white men, ignoring even republican women who were on the anti abortion side of the ledger, but understand women's health care, even outside abortion is being put at risk. These old white men simply have no understanding and do not care to learn, and thus just vote for and push complete bans.

Proof positive why diversity (gender and ethnicity) matters.

To say that Thomas, a staunch opponent of Affirmative Action, who was opposed by the NAACP because he opposed AA was put on the court as an AA pick is the type of Big Lie nonsense we expect from the fascist left. It's not just a lie - it's so outrageous of a lie that the left expects people to be shocked and think no one could have the audacity to tell such a lie, so it must be true.

Diversity is a cancer of the brain. The best person should be selected, regardless of sex, color or any other criterion.

You are a racist, you demand that race rather than qualification be the standard. That is suicidal - but you seek the destruction of the nation, so your position is understandable.

Clarence Thomas has admitted that Yale was looking to admit a Black person to the law school.

You're a fucking liar - as everyone knows.

What Affirmative Action law was used in 1965?

There were none - you're just a fucking liar - as all the fascist/Marxists are.

Clarence Thomas entire life is a story of the success of Affirmative action. A person who qualified by grades who would not have been notices or chosen without the help of AA.

Yale Law School admission - "As an undergraduate at Holy Cross College, Thomas received a scholarship set aside for racial minorities. He was admitted to Yale Law School in 1971 as part of an aggressive (and successful) affirmative-action program with a clear goal: 10 percent minority enrollment. Yale offered him generous financial aid."

"But for them (affirmative-action laws), God only knows where I (Clarence Thomas) would be today. These laws and their proper application are all that stand between the first 17 years of my life and the second 17 years." Thomas called affirmative action "critical to minorities and women in this society."

On early key Jobs - "It was his race, as Thomas has admitted, that got him two civil-rights posts in the Reagan White House; the jobs came because he opposed the civil-rights movement. So did his boss, President Ronald Reagan, whose opposition dated back to the years of Martin Luther King Jr." President Bush - who, like Reagan, had opposed the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act - later chose Thomas to fill the Supreme Court seat of civil-rights legend Thurgood Marshall, the only other African American to sit on the highest court.

Well shit Comrade, what specific Affirmative action law was in place in 1965 that allowed Thomas into Yale?

Oh wait, you're just spewing the big lie of you filthy Reich.

Affirmative action is misnamed. It's not about helping someone it's about not stopping them.

Initially that was true.

The Marxist/fascists highjacked the term as they do so many terms. Initially Affirmative Action was nothing more than the 1964 Civil Rights act, specifically Title VII. The set asides and lowered standards were nearly a decade later.

The civil rights act is about not allowing race to be used to deny opportunity to anyone. Affirmative Action is the exact opposite, institutional racism blocking people from opportunity purely based on race, gender, and religion.
