As Black Voters Drift to Trump, Biden’s Allies Say They Have Work to


New polls by The New York Times and Siena College found that 22 percent of Black voters in six of the most important battleground states said they would support former President Donald J. Trump in next year’s election, and 71 percent would back Mr. Biden.


The drift in support is striking, given that Mr. Trump won just 8 percent of Black voters nationally in 2020 and 6 percent in 2016, according to the Pew Research Center. A Republican presidential candidate has not won more than 12 percent of the Black vote in nearly half a century.

Yes, it's a big percentage. I'm curious to see if they actually show up to vote for Trump....or, if they do want to vote for Trump but can't because 1) no mail-in ballots or 2) the Republicans shut down most of the voting places in their neighborhood. LOL

I think much of this 22% figure is more a reflection of not being 100% happy with what Biden has done for them.

But when November start getting nearer, people will start weighing consequences.

I don't know, but I have a feeling about half or possibly more of that 22% will end up sticking with Biden.

Agreed again...or not show up. They might not vote for Biden, but that doesn't mean they'll vote for Trump.

IDK. IMO, it's more likely they just won't show up on election day...or if they do and see the lines are so long in their district, that they go home instead of hanging to vote for Pedo Don.

I don't make predictions, but, if you subtract all the independents, moderate Republicans, never Trumpers, pissed off women who had their reproductive rights taken away thanks to him and his GOP minions, and those who are just sick and tired of the drama that follows him everywhere.... it could.... might..... maybe..... add up to another trouncing for him.

That's assuming he isn't in prison by November.
