Unless they are being pimped out they should have a right to sell it if they want to. Now as with everything else taxes need to be paid.

but I do understand what you are talking about. the customers who buy are generally held blameless. In Lexington KY several years ago they used to post lists in the paper of Johns caught up in prostitution roundups.
That lasted till some important (with money) types got caught and published.

The cop was correct. Open any big city newspaper and read about the drug dealers, gang members, pimps, and whores getting killed all the time. Play with fire long enough and you are bound to get burnt.

Without a direct quote it is difficult to tell for sure which direction the LEO was coming from. On the one hand, blaming the victim does not go very far. But on the other hand, when one makes deliberate choices that knowingly increase the probability of disastrous consequences, it is more difficult to sympathize when the disastrous actually happens.
