Boulder police warn of 'active shooter at the King Soopers' supermarket

None of those forms of "violence" come anywhere close to the epidemic level of slaughter that occurs via the use of GUNS moron.
Sure they do. Dead is dead.
Yes, guns are an addiction.
No, they are a machine.
Mostly suffered by right-wing redneck macho assholes with small dicks and/or stunted height, fragile egos and inferiority complexes,
Bigotry.
and they can only be made to feel adequate by owning guns.
Psychoquackery. Hoplophobia.

One law enforcement officer was killed in the shooting at the King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, two law enforcement sources told CNN.
One senior law enforcement source also says the weapon used in the shooting was an AR-15-style rifle.

I am very sad. It's so senseless.

It truly is.

Guns are a machine. They are not an addiction. Psychoquackery. Hoplophobia.

I know. I was talking about the addictive personality.

An addictive personality refers to a hypothesized set of personality traits that make an individual predisposed to developing addictions. This hypothesis states that there may be common personality traits observable in people suffering from addiction; however, the lack of a universally agreed upon definition has marked the research surrounding addictive personality. Addiction is a fairly broad term; it is most often associated with substance abuse, but it can also be extended to cover a number of other compulsive behaviors, including sex, internet, television, gambling, food, and shopping. Within these categories of addiction a common diagnostic scale involves tolerance, withdraw, and cravings.[1] This is a fairly contentious topic, with many experts suggesting the term be retired due to a lack of cumulative evidence supporting the existence of addictive personality.[2] Stating that characteristics of personality attributed to addictive personality do not predict addiction, but can result from addiction.

Granted, more study is needed. As you said, a gun is just a machine. You are correct. Those with the addictive personality might find the guns addictive due to various reasons. No different from car addicts who love muscle cars.

Or ED?

How about the proliferation of GUNS

Yeah. Sure. You might be on the 'No-Fly List', but why eliminate your Right to protect yourself at the Grocery Store?

(if the Store can make you wear 'shoes, shirt, and a mask' ... why can't they ask you not to bring any Firearms in the Store?)

WHAT??? How about leaving your gun at home or in your car?

How about not living your life so paranoid that you believe you need a gun every waking moment?

I’ve never took a gun into a store nor do I believe a gun is my first or only line of defense.

Sorry, not that paranoid, nor do I ever want to be.

So that must be why I have 35 Guitars and 15 Amplifiers- and I'm still adding on-

Maybe it's time to get back- to the basics of life- and go to Luchenbach Texas- with Waylon and Willie and the Boys!

I will say this, If I ever get mad and start killing people with them- please take them away first thing!

Paradox. Irrational. You cannot argue both sides of a paradox.

Unions are not jobs. They are scammers making workers pay for them so they can sit on their fat asses. The Mob comes to mind here.
Everyone already has access to healthcare. There is no right to make someone else pay for your healthcare. That is theft. That is socialism.

No, you are concerned that people sitting around on their butts and collecting union dues get to continue to do so. That is not a supportive workplace.

You can start your own company any time you want to.

They can.

Theft is not healthcare.

Why hasn't this fucking birdbrain been put down?
He wouldn't last two minutes in my neighborhood.

Oh and it has nothing with our addiction to guns, eh?

That's it.

Just blame gun violence on everything else but excessive access to guns. :palm:

It has nothing to do with guns, guns do not load, and fire themselves, it's not even about lack of gun restrictions, as they just passed two more!

The gun arguments pro or con would seem to be irrelevant.
Without having a strong opinion one way or another,
the right of individuals to own and bear firearms is a constitutionally guaranteed feature of being an American citizen in good standing.

Statutes can't change this, and in a starkly polarized nation, the constitution cannot be amended by the processes the constitution provides for amendments.
Love guns or hate them, and as an indifferent firearms owner, I don't give a fuck one way or another,
there isn't a fucking thing we can do about them right now.
90% of the right and 50% of the left love the shooting gallery aspect of our nation...duck or get capped!
For better or worse, it's a globally unique feature of our republic.

Work on what you can actually do, government.

more guns and easier access to more guns. If that worked, America should currently be the safest developed nation in the world given we have more guns in circulation than any other developed nation in the world, instead, we lead all developed nations in gun violence

you can't save people by disarming the decent and law abiding................
