Boulder police warn of 'active shooter at the King Soopers' supermarket

Oh and it has nothing with our addiction to guns, eh?

That's it.

Just blame gun violence on everything else but excessive access to guns. :palm:

Guns are not an addiction. They are a machine.
I see you too want to ignore car violence, knife violence, arson violence, bomb violence, clubbing violence, fist violence, or any of the other lethal forms of violence.

Hoplophobia.

Our society is fucked up by modern technology is one theory,
but tech is just tech.
Paradox. Irrational. You cannot argue both sides of a paradox.
I say we're fucked up because of a lack of good, union represented jobs
and lack of universal healthcare.
Unions are not jobs. They are scammers making workers pay for them so they can sit on their fat asses. The Mob comes to mind here.
Everyone already has access to healthcare. There is no right to make someone else pay for your healthcare. That is theft. That is socialism.
I'm more concerned for the people who want to be productive and fairly remunerated in a safe and supportive workplace,
No, you are concerned that people sitting around on their butts and collecting union dues get to continue to do so. That is not a supportive workplace.
but don't have the opportunity.
You can start your own company any time you want to.
I'm concerned for the people who can't get healthcare
They can.
when nations of less prolific assets can provide it to all of their citizens.
Theft is not healthcare.

The sheer number of guns is one issue.
Not a bit of it. There are more guns than citizens in the States, yet no one is shooting at you, though you are surrounded by people carrying guns. Your hoplophobia is obvious.
The broader issue is the refusal to take even the most basic steps to keep guns out of the hands of people with mental issues.
Such as yours? Hoplophobia can certainly be considered a mental issue.
They have to pass sweeping voter suppression laws in order to keep common sense laws from being passed by sane legislators.
No legislature can override the Constitution of the United States or their own State constitution, unless they wish to cease being a State of America.

Looks like a real lovely part of town. Yuk.

None of those forms of "violence" come anywhere close to the epidemic level of slaughter that occurs via the use of GUNS moron.

Yes, guns are an addiction.

Mostly suffered by right-wing redneck macho assholes with small dicks and/or stunted height, fragile egos and inferiority complexes, and they can only be made to feel adequate by owning guns.

Multiple people, including a Boulder police officer, have been killed at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, authorities said Monday. A person of interest was taken into custody, police Commander Kerry Yamaguchi said.

One law enforcement officer was killed in the shooting at the King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, two law enforcement sources told CNN.
One senior law enforcement source also says the weapon used in the shooting was an AR-15-style rifle.

I am very sad. It's so senseless.

Just read that too. On the news earlier they showed them escorting a white guy (I think, couldn't see his face but his shirt and pants were off and he appeared Caucasian) with some blood on his leg and handcuffs away from the store.

Gods, this is sick.

Want to bet we are going to have the debates about AR-15s all over again?

No doubt about it. And the gun-humpers will claim there's no such thing, it's our right to own military-grade weapons, guns don't kill people/people kill people, it's mental health, not guns, blah blah blah.

We did nothing after Sandy Hook, when CHILDREN were murdered. We'll do nothing this time, too.
