Boulder police warn of 'active shooter at the King Soopers' supermarket

Hence our basic ideological differences: You believe the will of all should always triumph over the individual and I believe individual rights are the basis of all human freedom.

Wrong again, dude. The will of all is pure democracy, which we are not and which is also dangerous.

Our democratic republic, or however you wish to describe it, has set up a three legged system of governance. That one leg, the Judicial Branch (SCOTUS), is the arbiter of what is constitutional and what is not.

I just quoted you what they said was constitutional regarding the Second Amendment. Don’t like their ruling? Send THEM your concerns. I’m sure they’ll give your comments all the attention it deserves.

Another Obamacare failure? Just asking.....

Ummm...that one can be traced back to Reagan. :)

I liked Reagan for "Peace through Strength" and other reasons. OTOH, he did fuck up PATCO, AIDS, mental healthcare and, to a large degree, Illegal Immigration.

Reagan beat the Soviet Union and, for that, I'm forever grateful.

He wasn't religious.

That's why his FB was chock-full of Mohammaden posts, huh?

Like this?

Quite a few folks (ahem....on the left) are quite happy Reagan let them out of the loony bins.....HA!

Alissa was not very political or particularly religious, according to his brother, who said he never heard the young man threaten to use violence.

Agreed. The guy was just nuts, not religious.

Nutty people use religion and/or politics to justify their nuttiness. Neither religion nor politics make people nutty.

This asshole will never be free again. His life ruined, the lives he's taken and the families he's harmed cannot be made whole. Why? Because he was nuts and our society couldn't do anything to help him. Just send him to prison after he'd killed.

Yes, so what should have been done? Civil commitment?
Each public/community incident should have been dealt with.... Then....If you've got a family member who's obviously not mentally stable, what would you do? Ignore it? Is there nothing they should have been doing? He lived with them...they were most certainly aware....

Yeah. Do you still have the address? I'll check on the Wayback Machine.

You have his handle and Facebook, there ya go.

I'm thinking the wayback machine gets largely scrubbed as well.

I have to wonder: Why does Zuckerberg pull people like that's profiles down so fast?

Why? :dunno:
