Hello Community.

I came here looking for a new home to post in as the forum I am a moderator in that has been planned to be gone at end of the year, not even allow a new owner to take charge a bummer situation that has forced me to search a new place, hopefully this is the place to fit in.

On disability retirement who loves stargazing have a couple telescopes the big one is 18" F4.75 the small one is the comet catcher 5.5" F 3.6 looking for a 14" F10 SCT, like to do Gardening/Flowers and indoor plants too.

Have a very large DVD MOVIE collection around 500 mostly the good ones to make it worthwhile for additional viewing.

Been in many forums/blogs over the years including running my own that is now defunct it was for a time the 10 largest climate forum in the world by traffic rate currently Administrator of a blog and moderator of a forum that is defunct at end of the year and have been administrator and moderators in a few other forums long ago.

I despise Leftism that is destroying the democrat party making them hostile, irrational and dangerous, I left them way back in the early 1990's. Not a big fan of republican party either thus a free-thinking Independent is what I am today.

Well that is enough for now.

I wonder why he isn't at least selling or transferring it to one of the moderators. I would like to see this little corner of the Interwebs survive past my "retirement"...

The announcement is tomorrow for the forum membership base, I have already brough it up in keeping it going past December 31 in the moderator board, but she is firm that they will throw a perfectly good forum into the dumpster, I am not happy about it, this has happened to me 2 other times in the past where a good even giant conservative forum was thrown away, even tried to save The Republican Operative by buying it the owner completely ignored it.

Well, tell them all we are here for them and feel for their loss. Warn them that you have to have some thick skin here though, we aren't here to protect all their feels from getting hurt.

You have an opportunity here. There could be many folks wanting to find a new home.
Besides, if the board is flooded with quality people, the culture may change some.
