Rubbish. When Kissinger won, the only people I heard saying that same thing were Democrats and Carter voters. Give this one a rest. The only people I've ever heard claim the nobel peace prize was tainted, were bush voters and neocons.

Please! Julia Roberts won an Oscar for Erin Goes Braless, it means nothing ever since then!
Hugo Chavez wore red today.
Nobody but you said the group was infallible.
Nothing is.
But the prize means something. You are trying to make it mean nothing, because you can't stand that Gore won it.
Why don't you just do what the more out in the open apologists do, and put up a "LOOK WHAT HUGO CHAVEZ DID NOW" thread? For examples, see: Dano.
Obviously the "peace" prize does mean nothing. Because those that actually work for peace did not win it. Someone who produced a fear mongering propaganda piece did. A piece of shit that did not even agree with the UN panel that won the "PEACE" prize with him. Tell me... just what did the Boar do to promote PEACE?????
Yes, I know, it means something to the Boars fans, but the rest of the world knows what a joke this is.
Well, I brought my Republican voice to it. I still congratulate him and like seeing an American get it over somebody like Yassir.I knew you could do it!
I knew you would bring your "moderate-independent" voice to the fray to minimize Al "Bore's" Nobel!
Well done!
Now, lets all take a look at Ahtisaari vs. the Boar. Which one of the two actually spent his career promoting peace? and which one promoted fear and blame?
The problem was those same people advanced on the taking of human life and rights after their "advancement of peace".Damo, you seem to be operating under the premise that the Nobel Prize is supposed to be given to wonderful people. People with pure hearts and souls. People of impecable moral character.
That's where you were mistaken. The nobel prize is not meant to be given to "good" people. Its meant to be given to people who advance the cause of peace and human rights.
Neither Begin or Arafat were wonderful people. They both had blood on their hands. But, together - at the time in 1994 - they both made relatively courageous political moves towards reconcilliation and peace building.
Nelson Mandela I think shared his prize with that DeClerk guy - the fomer apartheid-loving PM of south africa. But, DeClerk finally did the moral, decent, and humane thing: he joined hands with Mandela to bring justice to south africa. That doesn't make DeClerk a saint. Nor, does it excuse his former apartheid-loving ways. The prize was a recognition of the personal and political courage it took him to join hands with Mandela.

I think SF has been posting over at the NY Times, under the Gore story. They are all out alright:
"if al gore ever ran for president again, i would move out of this country. indefinitely. nobel peace prizes should be awarded to ‘true’ researchers and scientists. not overwrought, has-been politicians. "
hahahhahahaha
They're moving out of the country!

Ummm... no, not on the NY Times site. I suggested that the "PEACE" prize winner actually work to promote, oh, I don't know.... PEACE??? Rather than promoting fear and blame.
But please, enjoy the day.... I know how you libs like the faux victories.

Thanks! I do feel good.
I can certainly understand why. I know how much you like the boar. I don't understand WHY you do, but to each their own. Besides, its FRIDAY.... and we really can't get all cranky on a Friday. Its like... against the law or sumthin.
Too late, I have already reduced your friend Damo to a quivering mass of incoherence, sorry!
I forgot it was Friday.
Too bad. You must pay the price for being hostile on a Friday. You are required to do a Belfast Car Bomb as penalty.
