I'd argue they have been exposed as charlatans over and over again, but no Trump supporter cares. I will admit that I will enjoy watching McCarthy try to placate the morons like MTG without actually having to take an impeachment vote. Because it would be embarrassing when it didn't pass. I'm not sure McCarthy survives this one. Not with a government shutdown looming.

The hypocrisy couldn’t be any more visible, it was McCarthy himself in 2019 that shouted before it began that any impeachment inquiry into Trump was illegitimate unless the House authorized it with a full vote in the House, which the Democrats then did, and now Kevin isn’t
But who cares, if anything, it will bring MaraLago’s hyperbolic corruption charges into full view

And now, after the Trump Admin sought and got DoJ guidance on the proper procedures for Impeachment Inquiries
And so everyone needs to understand the above, because if Garlands DoJ follows the rules set by Trumps DoJ none of the FBI, IRS or WH staff will be allowed to participate or provide information to the House running this Impeachment Inquiry. They must refuse them under separation of powers if and until they call and pass a vote.
And i predict that is exactly why the McCarthy and the Trump derps are doing it this way. They want to claim scandal and cover up, simply for the Garland DoJ following the rules that McCarthy demanded in prior years, and that the Trump DoJ put in place.

It doesn’t matter, actual impeachment isn’t their goal, rather increasing their platform to echo their hyperbolic charges, to spread innuendo, provide “news” for Fox and the like.
They’re rerunning the 2016 playbook, portray Biden as a criminal so that that truth can’t be used against Trump, make it a lesser of two evils decision. And, at a minimum, muddle the whole meaning of an impeachment, make it appear commonplace, largely to water down Trump’s two impeachments
