Coakeley ran a LAZY campaign, took things for granted. Listening to some Boston folk on the radio today, many folk there were fed up with several corrupt and incompetant local pols and the unwillingness of the local Dem party to correct the situation. A deadly combination without the Kennedy machine in place.

Then you had a people pissed off that Obama and the Dems ARE NOT living up to their campaign promises, and essentially letting the neocons run roughshod over them.
So people didn't vote in protest, and/or Dems voted for Brown in protest. They cut off their nose to spite their face.
