Charles Krauthammer once said, "the right thinks you are wrong and the left thinks you are evil". I think they believe this gives them some kind of licence to use all those racial slurs, bigotry, and anything else they can come up with that avoids serious discussion of the issues

It does look like privilege, or hypocrisy, but it is actually worse. At their core, they lack tolerance. If you cross someone that lacks tolerance, they go at you with everything they have. They aren't happy until you are jobless, and destitute. Honestly, your life is worth nothing to them at this point

Liberals as a group are deficient in tolerance. From an ideological standpoint, they must force compliance, so it isn't really all that surprising to see how hateful they become when mob mentality is added to the mix

Statist democrats often are but I am a progressive who actually admires Klan folks in 1 sense. I loathe what they believe, and wouldn't walk across the street to piss down their throats if their guts were on fire, but I do admire that they don't try to hide who they are. They own their hatred of blacks. They don' try to rationalize it as being something it is not for the most part. They don't pretend it is about "fairness" or "equal treatment" or anything other than that they think whites are superior. It is all the racists who try to justify their racism as not being about race who are the ones that need to be checked. Likewise I have more respect for a homophobe who says I hate fags than one who tries to pretend it is about "family" or other non-sense. I appreciate people who are just blatantly honest even if they are being honest about something I find wretched.
