Burglary Suspect Shot & Killed

Mississippi--

Police say a Pascagoula man shot a burglar who was climbing through his mother's window.

According to police, 20-year-old Javorous Tims tried to break into a a unit at the Granada Apartments on Chicot Road around 1 o'clock Friday morning.

The woman who lives there was awakened by a noise at her window. When she realized someone was trying to break in, she ran down to her son's room and woke him up.

The son grabbed his gun and went to his mother’s bedroom where he found Tims climbing through the window. He fired two shots. One of them hit Tims in the chest.

Tims took off, but he made it less than 30 yards before he collapsed and died.

No charges have been filed. However the case will be presented to a grand jury.

I understand, and I still don't believe the numbers. Anecdotal evidence proves it happens but, not the exaggerated numbers the industry wants us to believe. I'm a multi gun owner and have been for years, however the NRA and I parted ways years ago at about the same time bush Sr. told them to shove it. That said, two things, I never have considered that my guns would be used against other Americans for any reason, and, though I wouldn't hold the shooter responsible, I would prefer the kid was still alive.
