Burn the fuckin' lifeboats

Mitch McConnell and the other Senate Republicans are not going to let Mueller and the Democrats get their way.

That's simply because McConnell and the GOP are in on the same treason as Trump.

They're all involved.

They all knew and they all went along with it anyway.

In fact, I think they actively solicited Russia's help, and that the Russian rot goes all the way through the state and local GOP, through Evangelical Christianity, within the NRA, Fox News, and even down to boards like this one.

I doubt there is a single Conservative institution that hasn't been corrupted by Russian stink.

REMINDER .... YOU picked Hillary !

And that's bad, why?

She won the popular vote.

She's a highly capable technocrat.

We're proud of our support of Clinton, while you're trying to make yourself feel better for supporting Trump by buying into the propaganda about Clinton.

Why not just admit you got conned? Is it so damaging to your ego?

The Democrats aren't going to impeach Trump; there's not enough time and they don't need to. They can simply take down every person around him, leaving him vulnerable and isolated.

I don't think Trump should go to prison, and I don't think he should be executed. Instead, I think he should be committed to an asylum because it is more important to discredit him and the ideology that found itself attached to him, than it is to punish Trump. He's a narcissist who will consider himself a political prisoner if he's locked in a cell. But if he's committed, then he's sedated and medicated, and then the man carrying the Conservative banner can be diminished but more importantly, so will the ideology that fixed itself to him.

That's what is most important; you can't shame the shameless, but you can fucking discredit them.

Most of his supporters are mentally disturbed anyway...committing Trump to an asylum would be a fitting end.

Of course the asylum idea is wishful thinking and I'm trying to stay with the likely solutions for the Trump problem. The three that I've named are all very likely in my opinion because the situation is desperate.

But it has to be taken into account that the FBI/Mueller are apolitical and destroying the Republican party is what they are working hard to avoid. The Republicans will have to 'run for the lifeboats', figuratively speaking, or they will be left on the sinking ship of their president.

Only less than half of the Republican congress have a will to resist the taking down of Trump but even the baggers have more interest in saving their own hides than saving the fool in chief. I expect some early indications in the US Senate with defiance of Trump on his key issue of immigration, which is racism in disguise. Very poorly disguised.

Americans will not tolerate a coup by the Deep State.

Trump's approval is about 38% as the market crashes, the economy heads toward recession, and as we desert our allies around the globe.

America is ready to ditch him.

No lifeboat for you...it's charred and at the bottom of the bay.

Are you Democrats stupid enough to impeach Trump over a sex scandal?

I think it's more likely Trump quits and flees to Russia, than it is likely he finishes his term.

Of course an asylum would be unlikely, but just because it's unlikely doesn't mean it's not necessary.

As far as I'm concerned, they've already made that choice. They made it back in 2015-16.

No lifeboats this time.

No teabags.

No "No labels".

No "I'm really a libertarian".

None of it.

I'm done accommodating bad faith.

Let them all drown.

I don't think Trump will last to 2020, Pence either.

I think Pence will resign first, and Pelosi will never allow a vote on a Trump replacement VP.

It's an interesting opinion to explore! I don't know enough to be able to accept that Pence will go first, I think he's anxiously waiting to be crowned the new pres. I think it depends on whether the FBI/Mueller consider him as sane enough and neutral enough to take the job.

As to Trump lasting to 2020, I just have to say that I'm 50/50 with that outcome. One thing I would guess at is that Trump has no real balls and will bend to threats easily. The first threat that will come down the pipe is the threat to his children. But it's probably also a good bet that the FBI/Mueller won't need to go that far.

I don't think any of that is genuine.

Not sure why Republicans have a problem with anything Trump is doing; this is exactly what they wanted.

They've been saying this is what they wanted for at least a decade now.

Now that they're getting what they want, and it looks like shit, are they kinda-sorta backing away...but it's all done anonymously. None of them have an alternative to any of this.

We're not going to impeach.

Trump will quit long before that because he's a quitter...that's his record. Quitting and quitting and quitting and quitting and bail out and bail out and bail out.

You fell for it.

You got conned by a fucking reality TV show host.

So much for your good judgment.

I don't believe that most of his supporters are mentally disturbed. That's overplaying your hand in my opinion and I won't go there with you. His supporters are currently doing what is providing them with support by very low intelligence supporters for the most part. That's a temporary safe place for them, but not when Trump becomes pushed by the FBI/Mueller to pull in his horns. Imagine what happens to his support when trump has to reneg on the silly border wall notion!

Manafort picked Pence for a reason. What was that reason when he could have picked from so many other Conservatives instead?

Pence took over the transition after Christie quit, while Flynn was breaking the law and making contacts with Russia.

If Pence didn't know what Flynn was doing, then Pence is unfit and should be impeached.

But I give Pence too much credit for that....Pence isn't some clueless dummy.

He didn't pick Pence out of a hat.

There's a reason Manafort picked Pence and a reason Pence accepted.

That reason will probably be in Mueller's report, which is why I think Pence is going to resign sooner rather than later.

If Mueller indicted Ivanka, Trump would start WWIII.

I submit to you every single pro-Trump post on this message board.

It takes a real disturbed person to look at Trump and think, "yeah, that guy's legit and credible".

They bitched and moaned, but as you see on these boards, none of them are questioning their devotion to Trump. Instead, they're repeating his bullshit.

Face it, they're mentally disturbed. They had to be to vote for him, and they have to be to continue defending him.

It all looks like shit to the REpublicans now. That's the key! The Republicans never did want the ridiculous border wall. How many Americans are capable of rising above the partisan politics fight to understand that?

If anything, the border wall should be a Democrat priority. As is the alignment with Russia/Putin more like a Dem position. If not for the Trump politics and the collusion, the Dems would be able to see more clearly on Russia/Putin. When Trump goes, the whole house of cards falls. The Russia hating will be politically neutral until the Dems find reasons to de-escalate it.

I wasn't referring to the crazies on this board. But I stop short of mentally disturbed except in a few of the extreme cases such as the outright bragging racists and a few others not worth my time to mention. The most of the seemingly crazies are just political and didn't have a better choice.

Had the Dem party deliberately fucked up Bernie in favour of Clinton, a lot of them would have turned to Bernie. They're just ordinary poor people who should know that Trump will never be helpful to them.

See, it's shit like this that makes me think you're not genuine.

Of course they wanted a wall...it's literally what they chanted over and over.

STOP.

They will become even more batshitcrazy and blame who they always blame for their lot in life like the self-victimized whiny little bitches they are.
