The Denver law firm of Keating, Wagner, Polidori & Free, filed the lawsuits.

According to the lawsuits, the gunman was able to go in and out of the theater several times undetected to retrieve a "virtual arsenal of weapons, including, but not limited to, one or more fully loaded shotguns, an AR-15 assault rifle, one or more fully loaded, automatic Glock handguns, and several tear gas canisters."

The lawsuits also allege that the theater's security guards were given the night off, even though there had been several previous criminal incidents.

The lawsuits are seeking an "amount which will fully and fairly compensate each of them for damages, losses and injuries"...

what about the person or persons that left the door ajar for the criminal to enter in the first place

Should business owners be granted immunity from liability claims?

So your argument is that

A) Armed people don't get shot

and

B) Unarmed people do

Some people are entranced with the wonders of drugs or alcohol, some people like cars or motorcycles, some people think computers or cellphones are amazing. STY is just really into guns.

No, but equally true they shouldn't have to pay out to all claims.

Are there metal detectors in restaurants? Churchs? People can walk in with guns and shoot them too. Are they at fault for not having their own swat team in the back ready to rock and roll?

Lawsuit is just another example of people looking to profit.

Nobody said they should, did they?

If the business owners can prove they have no liability, there won't be any payment, will there?

Maybe there should be.

Are there are smoke detectors in restaurants and churches?

The courts will decide that, and you'll abide by the ruling, won't you?

Lawsuit is just another example of people looking to profit.

Really?

Compensatory damages don't equal "profit".

Look up "parity" and get back to me.
