Bye Bye Lake Mead

America has got places with nowhere near enough water...parched Earth and dried out lakes and reservoirs

...and other places where they have too goddam much water...constant flooding and water damage.

We can get oil from one place to another through pipes with no trouble.

Why can't we get water moved that same way?
This question seems rather naive and uninformed.

The distance and elevation changes make this an extraordinary engineering challenge. It would be cheaper to build desalination plants with renewable power sources. It would be even cheaper still to build water conservation infrastructure.
The water belongs to someone, and they aren’t going to give it away for free. They might not even let you take it.

I suppose that the concept of water rights has a lot to do with that. Canada would have something to say about it if we started piping the water from the four Great Lakes that we share with them. Ditto for cities along the Mississippi River, if a pipeline were to take its water and send it elsewhere.

It is a renewable source, you just fucked it up because you don't believe in science.

So as always, your idiocy and ineptitude is what is to blame for the catastrophe years later.

Always.
Lake Mead has been losing water for a LONG time. It hasn't been full since 1983. Why didn't YOU guys fix it when YOU guys were in charge? Oh that is right YOU kept generating from it like there was no tomorrow. Well tomorrow has arrived. Well if hydro is a renewable energy source renew Lake Mead.

Lousy Vermin is always full of shit, always.

Water is an essential to life! Water is a natural resource. Water resources can run dry.

The Great Salt Lakes are an example of that! The Petrified forest is yet another. Both are deserts today!

Building reservoirs was a great idea. Water Conservation is a good thing.

But, we will never be able to stop the Sun from evaporating water here on Earth- So when water is in short supply- WE NEED SOME NEW IDEAS AND WE MAY HAVE TO CHANGE SOME OF MAN'S BAD and reckless HABITS.
