CA passes "fun tax" -f'ing liberal moonbats

For some reason, Tom can't take a second to acknowledge that I am joking around with a sexual pun, before returning to his rant about the damage all those little Stanley Yelnats' can do to the beach...

It was hardly very subtle, I am trying to make a serious point. I happen to know someone who nearly died in that manner some years ago.

The original headline is what it is/was- I did not make it up, that is the way it was reported.

Oh I know, I saw the article. In fact I almost posted it myself. I saw three or four friends who live in LA post it on Facebook as well.

I get that you and Zappa probably aren't on each others Christmas list but I have a hard time believing that when he read this article about these rules at the beach his first thought was the fine is only $500 not $1,000 and that changes the whole story.

why are you always so nice?

So what should the limit be? What about a young child running along the beach who falls into the hole and breaks a leg or even worse?

common sense. before these regs people made holes in the sand. fact is, regs are not going to stop some idiot from making a huge hole. we don't need the government to tell us what to do 24/7. the examples you posted are EXTREME examples. and in light of all the beaches in the world, your examples are VERY VERY rare.

Kids with pails and shovels have been digging holes and building sand castles at the beach for eons. The tide comes in and fills the holes and demolish the castles... Only Tom would see danger in 18 inch holes at a beach where the tides fill them back in~

I wouldn't call 31 fatalities and 21 non fatal cases in a decade rare, would you?

Digging sand holes may sound like innocent fun at the beach, but it can be risky and even deadly, according to a new report. In the past decade, there have been reports of 31 fatalities and 21 nonfatal cases of people submerged in sand when the sand holes they were digging for fun collapsed in on them.
