cal state to sue auto makers

well i am off too make some more carbon... hell if my state could fix the trafic problem here there wouldnt be half as much.....
 
Lockyer - a Democratic candidate for state treasurer in the November election - said the lawsuit states that under federal and state common law the automakers have created a public nuisance by producing "millions of vehicles that collectively emit massive quantities of carbon dioxide."

I guess it is a demoncratic election stunt funded by the taxpayers....
But is Ahnuld / republicans trying to take advantage of it as well ?

Carbon Dioxide is a byproduct of combustion. All forms of combustion produce this gas including all heterotrophic organisms. If we can sue an entity for the production of the gas then any entity can be sued since any release of CO2 at least contributes somewhat to the buildup of greenhouse gas.
