Cali Is All Democratic

The total takeover of power by Democrats in Calif. is already working its magic for the their citizens and maybe it will spill over into middle America......
Fuckin' Happy Meals will be banned and those silly trinket gifts for the kiddies will be stopped immediately.
...:rofl::rofl::rofl::lol:

The pacific coast is pretty much the only area in which Democratic support remained essentially steady.

Just 10-20 years ago Cali was extremely competitive. Something changed.

I wonder if it was a combination of an influx of hispanics into the state and the migration out of the state of a lot of whites during the '90's?

I would phrase it that numerous illegals moved in while numerous businesses moved out~ BTW the two are not related, they just coincided.

California liberals made CA unhospitable to business growth...so they packed up and left. Meanwhile CA liberals made CA very hospitable to illegals...anyone wonder why the state is now unable to garner the revenue neccessary to support its expensive spend thrift government?

"The pacific coast is pretty much the only area in which Democratic support remained essentially steady."....Water.....

Only the extremely stupid elect the same people over and over and expect things to change.

in other news, Michigan has gone entirely Republican.....

I propose an experiment, let's see which state cures it's previous fuckups first, the one that went more Democrat or the one that turned Republican......

California completely threw in the towel. I have never seen such complete and thorough self-pwnage before in politics. The defeat of Prop 19 is proof that they didn't even try at all, although the resurrection of Jerry Brown from the crypt is probably a better example. Compared with either of those two, returning Mamie Boxer to the Senate is rather trivial, as it hurts the state far less.

you mean like electing the same party that ran the economy into a ditch like the reps did...

Like career politicians Boehner and McConnell.

another dem proudly and stupidly claiming the dems, though in the majority since 2006, are not at all responsible for the economy....

must be nice to be elected reps and senators of the dem party, no expectations, no responsiblibilites....all you have do is wear the scarlet letter (D)

California's economy is bad because of the housing boom, not any governmental policy in particular. People exaggerate the effect of governmental policy on the economy. A shitty economy is going to happen no matter what the government does. You can't ensure that it will never happen.

As for California, since the state can pass a budget now it's probably no longer in threat of defaulting, unless the Democrats themselves can't think of a way to balance it (I believe raising taxes still requires a 2/3 majority or a referendum, so they aren't going to have increased revenue to work with).

A lot of those hispanics can't vote. It really hasn't been long enough for them to raise children who can either.
