California on track to receive Danish universal healthcare, paid maternity leave, subsidized child care, six weeks annual paid vacation

Denmark is entirely incapable of understanding the reality of 94,000 people in prison, and how many people actually own firearms. Good luck enforcing the firearms laws.
California's gun laws are among the most restrictive and regulated in America, and are not vastly or drastically different from Denmark's gun ownership laws.

California incarcerates a lesser share of its residents than most other states. California's imprisonment rate of 319 per 100,000 adults is 20% lower than the national average of 397—and nearly half the rate in Texas, which is 601.

California would immediately boost Denmark's tax base by ten times over, giving Denmark the resources to manage the infrastructure and demographics of the world's fifth largest economy.

Don't forget that Denmark would have to sink a ton of money into rebuilding the destroyed infrastructure, including power generating capacity, water supplies, and rebuilding the pockmarked roadways.
They'd have to be quick on the power generation part because I'm sure the tariffs on imported power from Arizona, Nevada, and Idaho would send electricity prices towards a dollar a KW.

No, they aren't, Sybil. Colorado currently is.

Do you know how many bullet holes are found in jets landing at LAX? People apparently take potshots at them!

There are thousands of guns in the SDTC, and some people are stupid with them.

Thousands of Danes sign petition to buy California from U.S.

In response to President Donald Trump’s continued musing about the U.S. acquiring Greenland from Denmark, Danish citizens have launched their own effort to purchase America’s most economically prosperous state.

An online petition seeking the “Denmarkification” of California has seemingly garnered nearly 200,000 signatures, with a pitch to Danish citizens that purchasing the Golden State would provide them with more sunshine, dominance in the tech industry, limitless avocado toast and easy access to Disneyland — which organizers say would be renamed to honor fairytale author and poet Hans Christian Andersen.

“Have you ever looked at a map and thought, ‘You know what Denmark needs? More sunshine, palm trees, and roller skates.’ Well, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make that dream a reality,” petition organizers write on the online page

Idiots

I hope they do. Bye bye to all of those reliable electoral votes for the Dems. They would never win another Presidential election and would be skunked in Congress. Please make it so

I'd hate to be the wall washers in the White House when trump sees this.

SELL IT TO THE DANES  The Dems would never win another national election.

So you agree there is no "fighting", and that given a choice between the United States and Denmark, Greenlanders would prefer to have a relationship with Denmark, even if it might ultimately be as an autonomous Commonwealth dominion.
For fuck sake you know exactly what was meant by "fighting".

Don't be such a douche.

As of January 1, 2023, there were 3,347,221 known registered firearm owners in California, with 23,869 of them prohibited from owning or possessing firearms. Below are statistics of legal owners (illegal firearms owners are not listed on registries... that's what makes it illegal). You can pretend that gangs with illegal guns do not exist in California but we all know you are wrong and lying to yourself. There are many more weapons in that state on top of the already higher rate (though one of the lowest in the US) in California.
  • Gun Ownership Rate: In 2017, Denmark's estimated rate of private gun ownership was 9.9 weapons per 100 people.
  • Gun Ownership Rate: Fewer Californians own a firearm than the national average (14% vs. 29%). (that's 14 per 100 in case you don't know how to math).

So now for incarceration rates:
California's incarceration rate, including prisons, jails, and other facilities, is 494 per 100,000 people, meaning it locks up a higher percentage of its population than most other democratic countries.
Denmark's incarceration rate is significantly lower than that of the United States, with approximately 69 incarcerated individuals per 100,000 residents, compared to the US rate of over 600.
