Campaign isn't a day old and Trump poodle Ron Desantis already had a "macaca" moment

I don't think DeSantis intended to make a racist slur.

Sounds like he wasn't thinking about what he was saying and it just slipped out.

He should apologize for it.

Either way, it is indicative of averse racism.

Well, here's the problem...

Republicans are nominating Nazis, and even when they're not Nazis, they're Neo-Confederates or straight up racists like this guy Desantis.

I truly believe that Conservatives are racist in their hearts; how else do you explain all this?

Overall, Black voters were down by 765,000 votes in 2016 as compared to 2012. Only 59% of eligible Black voters voted in the 2016 election.

When you consider the fact that Donald Trump won by only 80,000 votes in three swing states, a higher Black voter turnout could very well have helped prevent a nightmarish White Nationalist Donald Trump victory. Are you with me so far? That's all I'm trying to say here today!

It is up to every race of people to perform a duty to their own political issues- whatever they may be- and vote.

If we are ever to level the playing field here in America, we will need more people to vote- and more candidates of every color in the race too!

I disagree........"monkeying around" is a far more common reference than a racial slur.....ask any gear head about "monkeying" with a car engine.....its a reference to doing something when you haven't got a clue.......its time to tell the race baiters to go fuck themselves......

I don’t think it’s dumb, it’s was dumb on DeSantis part. He apparently didn’t learn from other’s mistakes. I think Gilium will continue to run a clean campaign and focus on the things Floridians care about as he did during the primaries.

It was a Freudian Slip because Republicans really are racists, but are trying as hard as they can to pretend they're not so they can win votes. I think we have to stop giving them the benefit of the doubt after all these racists they vote for, after all the Nazis and Neo-Confederates they nominate, and after all the coded language they use.

Society has to come to terms with the fact that the Conservative Movement is a collection of race-based white resentment, discredited economic ideas, and hateful Christianity.

It will be a long shot for him to win.

Fl is full of wealthy racist whites......they will not let this man be their governor. They will cheat to high heaven or pull a Willy Horton on him.

Not to mention the whites who say they are liberal, but think progressives are going too far and want to "stay in the middle"............

To each his own but I strongly disagree with that. 538 has done studies on racial beliefs of white democrats and white republicans and they weren't all that far off.

I haven't followed the Florida governors race other than hearing one guy was a trump clone and the other a Bernie clone.
