Yes, we have a family member who suffers from regret for that reason.

Gender dysphoria is a difficult and puzzling condition. I'm not really sure how it came to also be a political football.

Sorry to hear that. But the reason why it became political is because the LGBT movement has become very militant. You can lose your job over not holding the right opinions on these issues.

The most controversial situation that has arisen involves letting trans women compete with biological females in various sports. It's clearly not fair, but when people call out the issues with it, they are shouted down as bigots.

Another reason transgender issues have become controversial is the push to put children on hormone blockers. Just because an 8 year old thinks he wants to be a girl does not mean he's transgender. Kids go through strange phases sometimes. Unfortunately, some parents and governments are stupid enough to subject these kids to abuse for the sake of political correctness.

Cause is slanted verbiage. The LGBTs are simply acting as they were born. There is plenty of science that shows the differences between people. It is the cellular, genetic, nerve system, physical and chemical. We are very complicated organisms with large differences in our makeup that go a long way to determine what we will be. It is not determined by choice.

Obviously they are acting as they are born that comment is just plain inane. the causation for homosexuality has been linked to a few genes and is linked to types of mothering but only for certain groups of gays not all so yes the causation for homosexuality is still unknown and is there a causation? Yes absolutely there is it's just unknown. there are sets of twins out there were one is straight and one is gay there are sets of twins out there where both are gay there is indeed causation.
