A digital computer can usually be
regarded as consisting of three parts:
(i) Store.
(ii) Executive unit.
(iii) Control.
Not really.
A digital computer is really just a general purpose sequencer not much different than your average mechanical washing machine timer.
There is no 'executive unit'. A CPU is not an 'executive unit'. It's just a general purpose sequencer.
No storage is necessary, but memory and disks are common features of computers.
No controls. It just starts sequencing as soon as you apply power, just like a mechanical washing machine timer.
