But you can't see the difference between trying to influence 435 random individual people and the current scheme we have now of only 2 cults controlling everything. It decentralizes power also eliminates all of the corrupt party rules in the legislative body as well.

Interesting idea. But who would serve? Most Greek politicians were murdered after they served. Nobody wants to serve under those terms.
And, of course, it will never happen. As noted, it would require an Amendment. Big Money would quash it.
But there is a plan to fix our corrupt Congress. Naturally, the current Congress will not vote for the fix. So the plan is a very slow process to replace Congress with people who will vote for change: Like women's suffrage, it will take a long time, and it begins at the grass roots level. This is how meaningful change happens in America:
