My problem is with irresponsible parents that enable things like that to happen. You're creating a "chain" yet leaving out the links that connect two parts.
Yes I am saying that as indeed are US parents, so what's your point? Yes I am sure you were a wonderful parent but many today are not and give in to pester power far too easily.
There was a study a while back which showed kids could recognise huge numbers of logos even before they can read.

Why did the US government ban cigarette advertising?I can't stop people from making choices and I really don't anyone interfering in the choices I make, as long as no one is violating no laws; but you seem to want your Government to tell you what to do and when to do it.

Because of pressure from specific groups; but just because they banned the adds, doesn't make it right.
