Seems to me many people care more about general welfare than common defence and certainly the way they have handled covid liberty is definitely not a high moral value to them.

Only lousy capitalists or closet Socialists believe that. Marketing can be considered a form of "goading". Besides, no one is requiring you to have a "hiring ethic"; how biased in your favor.

Only a totalitarian would try to pass off goading as "marketing". It's kind of like the mafia "marketing" their "protection" services by telling you how to avoid an electrical fire at your place of business.
