And to show his deep appreciation for rescuing the Capt. and showing courage and expertise in military operations of this kind...The Chosen One will reward them with a 10% budget cut for next year....what a CIC....

Bush also planned for the defense budget (apart from his failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan) to shrink slightly each year starting in 2010.

The demand for the military is easing now with massive redeployments away from Iraq and Afghanistan planned.

Rep. Frank, D-Mass. has called for a 25 percent cut in military spending, saying the Pentagon has to start choosing from its many weapons programs, and that upper-income taxpayers are going to see an increase in what they must pay.

The people of America voted for change and change is what President Obama and the Democratic supermajority are delivering!

Sorry, Obama's budget calls for a 4% DoD INCREASE. He has asked them to reduce their REQUEST by 10%, I'm sure you can discern the difference. I wouldn't want you to be misled by Fox's interpretation.

The FOX report was correct as of January '09.....your figures of about 4% are now correct....as of April '09.....Thanks....glad to see the new numbers...a cut like that would have been a slap in the face to the military..

Obama was President for only 10.5 days in January, I don't believe a budget had been formulated yet. Nostradamus died over 400 years ago, how did Fox know? Perhaps the ever trustworthy "unnamed source"?

A Presidents budget request is usually submitted in January of every year...actually no later than the first Monday of Feb....for the fiscal year beginning October 1st of that year....
and that Sonny, is how FOX knew....

Are you saying Obama's budget was sumitted within the 1st 11 days of his Presidency? I see that he announced a preliminary blueprint on February 26, the official budget request days later. I guess Fox knew about it before he did.
I suggest you'd better start reading your own admonishment regarding the press..........Sonny!
