Car bomb kills daughter of 'spiritual guide' to Putin's Ukraine invasion

And of course there was no Russian interference in the 2016 election, oh no.

Volume 1 of the Mueller report talks all about it. Over 100 contacts between the 2016 trump campaign and Russian agents. All of them lied about. Volume II is all about how trump lied and obstructed the investigation.

Good read :)

There was a ban on car bombs in the Mafia for a few years. It might still be in place. The car bombs were bring unwanted attention.

I know! "The Don" sent Guido to the murder store the other day and the owner was fresh out of car bombs :)

...which is why this isn't a tragedy, but a half-complete mission.

I'm sorry, I'm still laughing at my "Darya had a blast joke".

It's not a mission to murder people individually. Moscow just needs to be carpet-bombed. That should halt the invasion.

The Mueller Report proves interference but not collusion. I trust the report.

Like with other politicians pulling shenanigans, there were odd occurrences, but not enough evidence for trial.

No, dude, no! There were hundreds of contacts - twump's team shared internal polling data with Russian spies. Remember the trump tower meeting and how the story kept changing? If all was "just shenanigan's" why lie?

The twump team colluded and obstructed justice. Mueller adhered to the stupid rule that you can't indict a president.

That's what happened.

It's a good weapon for a guerrilla. The problem is discrimination; making sure the right person is next to the detonation.

The old way was to just strap dynamite near the driver and wrap standard fuse around the exhaust manifold, then hope they hop on the Interstate. Nowadays, it's easy to rig a remote detonator.

IMHO, the bombers knew who was in the car and detonated it at an opportune moment. Sure, they probably wished the old man was in with his Nazi daughter, but that's the luck of the draw. LOL

LOL.. you tell us about the detonator rigging, MacGyver! Don't tell us, you use some spit and a piece of twine.

How about the old fashioned way? Just raise a weapon and shoot the guy.

The incidents with Russian troops fragging their generals, the rogue Hind airstrike on a Russian oil depot and the massive number of reports coming from captured Russians and dissidents indicates to me that Russia is closer to civil war than the US. At least much closer to a violent regime change; all internal.

I wouldn't be surprised if Putler did it himself to get support for his invasion of the Ukraine.

That thought did occur to me, actually. That he had his own daughter killed in order to direct ire at Ukraine.

Good job, Matt. We think alike. Aren't you glad?

Poor woman!! She was almost as obnoxious as her father.

Car bombs used to be a fixture of gangland feuds in 1990s Russia but have since fallen out of fashion. This makes it all the more striking when, as happened on Saturday night, such a device rips through a car just outside Moscow, killing Darya Dugina, daughter of the controversial nationalist ideologue Alexander Dugin.

She was a prominent figure in her own right, a journalist working for an outfit Washington says is owned by Russian businessman Evgeny Prigozhin – under sanctions in the West for being the godfather of both the Wagner mercenary group and the infamous social media ‘troll farms’ – who had been a cheerleader for the war in Ukraine. Indeed, she was under sanctions, with the UK government describing her as a ‘frequent and high-profile contributor of disinformation in relation to Ukraine and the Russian invasion of Ukraine’.

Inevitably there is a widespread assumption that the real target was her father. The car was said to have been his, although other accounts say it was registered in her name. Either way, he would have been in it had he not at the last moment chosen to return home another way. No one has yet claimed responsibility, but in the charged political environment of the moment, everyone is blaming their favourite villain.

Already, Russian commentators are blaming Kyiv, without explaining either why either Dugin would be their target of choice – there are much more rabid and influential commentators on Ukraine – or how they managed to pull off an attack in the very heart of the Russian security state. Likewise, others assume this was a Kremlin hit, either because they wanted to make Dugin a symbolic martyr or else because they feared ultra-nationalists like him would stir up protest were Russia to step back from its war in Ukraine. Finally, there are the inevitable suggestions that this was actually a contract killing driven not by politics but by business disputes. Dugin is, after all, a phenomenally productive writer – never mind the quality – and an energetic self-promoter.

According to the news reports I've seen, the father took a different vehicle at the last minute, raising suspicion that Matt brought up that it might have been a "false flag" operation in order to foment sympathy for him and anger towards Ukraine.

He said that Putin provided inspiration for Trump, "a kind of example to challenge the status quo, to challenge the conventional wisdom, challenge all this totalitarian principles of globalists and ultra-liberals."

Sound familiar? If you want to challenge totalitarian principles, invade a neighboring country. Lol.

Yep, sounds like those words that come out of the mouths of diaper stains like Flynn and Stone back home.

My prediction that Trump's betrayal of the militias, specifically the violent WSEs will result in "backlash". It could be the ex-Pedophile-in-Chief himself or his go-between Donnie Junior....who no longer has government security protection.

I have to disagree. The militias need a leader. A racist one. trump could actually murder someone on live TV, as he boasts and his militia support would only grow.

Shooting a weapon attracts unwanted attention to the shooter. Therefore, a long range rifle shot is best. A problem there is, when the target is static, there's usually a lot more guards around and more surveillance looking for snipers.

Provided the bomb can be attached without notice, bombs allow the bomber to escape before the fun begins. A two-man team; the bomb-planter and the remote detonator, is helpful since it allows the bomb-planter to focus on escape while the detonator observes safely from a distance.

Let's not forget that such missions have multiple phases: the set up, the execution and the escape. Does anyone really want to be captured and interrogated by the fucking Russians?

He's not the only one then.

I just thought it was funny how he referred to military officials as "his". twump really wanted to be a military strongman. Remember he wanted to have a parade with tanks, like Kim Jong down Pennsylvania Ave? What a dick!

That's actually great news! Keep it coming! I hope the overthrow of Putin's regime happens with as little loss of life as possible, as long as one of the few lives lost is his.. I'm happy!
