I agree with all of this, but to understand the special significance of the hate and fear of a black man with a white woman you really need to take into account the unique history of the south and the sexual terrorism practiced by white men on black women, and the myth of the black beast rapist.

I remember my father telling me when I left for college that I'd better not be bringing home any black honeys.....so of course I told a black friend of mine what my father said and she went home with me to visit my parents. We even told them we were engaged. :)
 
If I could force every American to read one book it would be "The Dark Side of the Street; Black women, Rape, and resistance" which documents the sexual terrorism practiced against southern black women. Of course this goes back to slavery days, but the book's main focus is on the Jim Crow South. Rosa Parks is a revelation in it. If you can get through it without losing your heart and ending up crumpled up on the ground next to a young black girl who has just been gang raped and who has no chance of finding justice, if such a thing can be said to exist. White men raped black women with impunity, and then created the myth of the black beast rapist who was going to rape all the white women, in order to divert attention from the fact that they were sexual terrorists. Of course considering all of this, any black man and white woman having a consensual sexual relationship is a threat. It enraged them. To this day it's foolish to pretend that many white men of a certain age (the young guys are off the hook on this one, I believe for the most part anyway), don't become enraged when they see a white woman with a black man. Yes some of these racists are still raising racist children, but too late, the world has changed and those children will reject these teachings or they will be cast out. High time we have had a good house cleaning in this country.

It is hilarious because of course, all of these angry attempts to control back fire. The surest way to piss off the old guard was to screw a black guy, what do you think is going to happen? A lot of white girls screwed black guys for that reason and the added thrill of flipping off the establishment just made it all the better. But of course in the South this was no bedroom game. It got people killed.

Most conservative ideas we hear have to do with going back to old ways of doing things; I look forward to hearing what new things you are coming up with.

If there are any slave masters, it's the top 1% - 10% wealthiest. I'm not sure, but given how hard the Republican Party works to protect them and their ill-gotten gains, I'd bet the vast majority of them are NOT Democrats. Let's see, what else might help the downtrodden masses, of any race? Organized labor perhaps? Just which party is most anti-union? Social safety net? Higher minimum wage? Lower student loan rate - Wait! How about PUBLICLY funded education? etc... etc... How does each party stand on these issues?

But, wait you'll say. It's their own fault they don't have good paying jobs. It's their fault the public education system no longer provides sufficient skills and training to do much better than flipping burgers and mowing lawns and the private education system costs too much for the poor. Costs, you'll say? Let them take out loans that will further mortgage their futures for nonexistent or too few jobs, because we certainly don't want to provide any PUBLICLY funded jobs. Well, except for starting and fighting wars, maybe. But, how well educated do they have to be for that? BTW, do you know the percentage rate of minorities we send into those meat grinders is far higher than in the general population? It's certainly not because minorities enjoy fighting wars that much more than their white brothers. Economics of poverty maybe? During the late laminated housing crash, did you know that black families were pushed into ruinous variable interest rate loans at a higher rate than whites irrespective of equivalent credit scores?

OH... I sort of drifted off there, didn't I? What was I responding to? Oh yes, Democrat Plantation. IF ONLY the Democrats were in charge of the plantation we are all (well, most of us) on, it certainly couldn't be any worse than the Republican Plantation we now have.
