Chemtrails: Who is doing it and why?

Nope. Just water and carbon dioxide.

Sulfur dioxide has a very pungent odor, otherwise known as 'rotten egg gas'. Aircraft don't use it or emit it.
Aluminum dust is too dangerous. It is not allowed on board aircraft in any form. If someone were stupid enough to spray that stuff into the air, it would produce a very bright light just before it destroys said aircraft.
Barium is even more dangerous. Only an idiot would spray barium or aluminum from an airplane.

Nope.

The vast bulk of contrails are simply the hot exhaust of the engines mixing with the cold air.
Exactly. In both cases, it's just water. The carbon dioxide released by the engines is colorless. It does not produce a visible contrail.
A small percentage are caused by the depressurization of air passing on both sides of an airfoil, causing a drop in temperature.
Exactly, particularly when the aircraft is flying slower. If the air is moist, you will see this effect.

Can't answer the question, eh?

Cloud seeding is a weather modification technique that aims to enhance precipitation by introducing substances like silver iodide into clouds, which helps ice crystals form and leads to increased rainfall or snowfall. This method is used to improve water supply in areas experiencing drought or to increase snowpack in mountainous regions.
