Yeah so? Paying for people to have food everyday would do far more to "promote the general welfare of it's citizens" than cancer research, why isn't the govt paying for everyone's food?

The BBB didn't fund a proposed project. The Republican led House already passed a bill providing the requested funding. It is being blocked in the Senate by Chuck Schumer's committee.
