The tariffs are only now beginning to kick in. Businesses are already reporting huge production cost increases. It's only a matter of time before prices start going up on items affected by the biggest tariffs.

Prices are decreasing. It's amazing, you Stalinists swore that tomatoes would be too expensive to buy due to the tariff on Mexican grown. Instead US Production boomed and there are at lower prices than anytime since 2021.
Tariffs shift production to America - which makes you sad - but often does not increase prices at all. Shipping costs from China are astronomical.

Yes, as I said in earlier posts, the importers would suddenly find they had large margins to work with after all, and prices would eventually drop to where they were before. They were trying to peddle small avocados herefor $1.38 at one point, but those dropped back to 70 cents now, 2 cents higher than before, for instance. After consumers just stop mindlessly buying crap they don't really need, prices will go down, and the price gouging and fake shortages go away. The tariffs are bring in tens of billions in revenue, and the trade deficits are dropping dramatically. The only people whining are the Burb Brats who demand Instant Gratification.
Clothes? Walmart has all kinds of clothes at dirt cheap Clearance prices now. $4 T shirts, $8 cargo shorts, you name it, you find something for under $10.
