True, but they still stole the technology. They may build it with cheaper materials, but they still make them so they won't be buying the product from us again.

But yes, Fedex and other shipping companies are able to track billions of packages with no problem. The days of throwing things on a boat, and hoping they get somewhere they are needed are long in the past.

Easy. They say, "Processing. Arrives Apr 21 - Apr 28. We have everything necessary to complete your order. We'll update your delivery date when your order is prepared to ship." When it does ship, they will tell me every time it scans into or out of a facility. It will probably go through Alaska, then somewhere in the center of the country, and finally here.
Now my Volstok Watch went through a real journey two years ago. It was made in Tartarstan(middle of nowhere Russia) with the old bezel made at some unknown time, and found in the warehouse. An American UPS shipping label was printed in Tartarstan, put on the box, and then the box was put in a crate with a Russian to US shipping label. It was shipped by train to Moscow's airport, and arrived a day before Moscow shutdown their airport. Putin had the airport surrounded by tanks, and several months went by with UPS telling me that whenever they get the box, they will ship it to me. Finally, Putin allowed the Russian shipping company to enter the airport, pull out the crates, and ship them by rail to Finland. From Finland they were flown to the USA, given to UPS, who then delivered it to me.
I waited 9 months for a watch worth less than $100, but I love it, so I am happy.
I get those "processing" notifications from Amazon and Ebay. All that is is telling me the shipping label is being created for the package. The only way you can find out the progress in the middle of manufacture it to contact the company who is making it.
I'm glad your watch makes you happy. I wear the watch I gave my father years ago for Father's Day.

In this case, it is telling me that the computer has not been made for me yet. This is a "white people's problem", and not a existential problem. I want my computer, but am doing fine with my old computer.
Apple pays FoxComm 90 days after they ship the computer. My company pays Apple in 12 equal payments over a year, so technically, I still have 11/12ths of the money, and the Chinese have none of the money.
This is more a disaster for Chinese businesses than anything else.
2 years ago, I ordered a washer. They said I'd have in 10 days, probably closer to 7. It was 3 months 12 days from order date when they called it came in.
It was a freaky time. I had to travel to Colorado because a major backup financial facility was completely unstaffed. Before I left, I met with an Air Force lieutenant colonel in an abandoned mall parking lot who handed me a letter of transit signed Secretary of Treasury Mnuchin. When I arrived in Colorado, not only was the facility unstaffed, but the front door was propped open.
Even two years later, I have a hard time believing it ever happened. I would not blame you if you did not believe it happened.
Then I see trump say we should bomb Russia with American pilots using disguises to look Chinese, and realize that we may be in store for much weirder times to come.

I did not enter a weed dispensary, but I saw from outside that even while everything else was closed, the weed dispensaries were still open.
I will never be able to explain the last couple of years to my grandchildren. It just is too unbelievable.

Tom's Guide shills for whoever bribes them the most. Those benchmarks are cherry picked. Note they lowered the resolution for the gaming test.
I was wrong with the 25% though, it has around 50% of the power of an average decent PC.
It's only around $1k, so that's fair enough, I guess.
