It would have made a better Christmas present last year than this one: Chris Wallace’s sudden departure from Fox News.
It would have been better for Fox News to have announced it, rather to have heard about it from CNN.
News about the talking heads of cable television never survives in the realm of spin for overly long.

Fox News has released a frigid statement on veteran Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace’s departure for CNN’s new streaming platform, CNN+. Wallace, 74, said he was “ready for a new adventure” at the end of his regular broadcast Sunday. The network’s statement on Wallace’s departure read, in full: “We are extremely proud of our journalism and the stellar team that Chris Wallace was a part of for 18 years. The legacy of FOX News Sunday will continue with our star journalists, many of whom will rotate in the position until a permanent host is named.”

By contrast, as Washington Post reporter Jeremy Barr pointed out, when veteran anchor Shepard Smith departed Fox News in 2019, network president Jay Wallace called him “one of the premier newscasters of his generation” with a “monumental 23-year tenure.”

Maybe he couldn't handle working for a network that regularly trounces his new employers because he's into self-loathing and has daddy issues, like many DEMOCRAT men.

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace announced on Sunday that he was leaving for CNN. Fox has pulled far ahead of CNN and MSNBC in the ratings.

Wallace’s contract as host of “Fox News Sunday” was up at the end of December.

Perhaps Chris, a far left loon, was tired of working at FOX, the most watched and most trusted cable news in America that allows both the right and the left to express their views, for CNN, a cesspool of sexual predators and child molesters and pretend journalists who are the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

Yes, sounds right now.

I seem to remember in a previous thread that xinn had some new owner/board member/poobah who was going to shake things up at xinn and try to make it a news organization again. Somehow it doesn't make much sense to bring wall-ass on in an effort to improve broadcast,. Are they hoping that wall-ass will bring his audiance with him like megan kelly took hers with her to nbc?

In any event ... it's good to see wall-ass gone ... and Fox continued its tradition of good-mouthing departing folks ... says a lot for the leadership,

If all 12 viewers at CNN pay to see his show...7 million divided by 12 equals...1.7 million per fan.

I googled how many subscribers there were and there was a summary link to an Insider article that said so......I did not link it because it went to a page that required a paid subscription to view......I am forced to take Google's word for it......
